This is a plus on insurance industry.Insurance is meant to secure the building for necessary indemnity in event of fire, collapse or any unforseen occurrence.
How many indemnities are paid by Nigerian Insurance companies over say car accidents on yearly basis? Do you have any data on that? The police checkpoints are still there, enforcing all laws to make sure that these homogeneous amounts are paid as insurance feesto these frauds that call themselves insurance companies. All these phony insurance companies are quartered in Lagos while collecting endless funds without paying for requisite claims across the country!
Why should we add housing to their insurance heisthuh

what are the best things that nigerians want that builing insurance can provide?

tinubu, shettima, members of the national assembly, ministers, heads of security agencies, governors, state legislators, all enjoy free security, free accommodation, free clothing, free health care, free transportation, free phone calls, free feeding, free newspapers, free fuel, free house helps for themselves and their families all at home and abroad.

are they not nigerians also? why are they enjoying freebies and you are not bothered about it?

The Federal Government of Nigeria has made insurance on buildings compulsory, a move that many citizens believe will further increase house rents.

Critics argue that the policy adds to the growing tax burden on Nigerians, with some accusing the government of stifling the poor instead of providing relief.

Something Peter Mbah has started already in enugu with nothing to show for it...the set of people in power today are heartless...tax till death government everywhere....tax is good for development but over taxation destroy the purchasing power of citizens....government in a sane crime build houses for citizens and give it out in mortgage to citizens....but here people will suffer buy land and build house only for lazy government to come and tax them
You think those countries got there like magic
Their citizens suffered too, and yes, they pay taxes... Way more taxes than you've even been asked to pay in Nigeria.

On top 70k minimum wage?
All Tinubu knows to do is just look for money making ventures abroad and come replicate without sensibly evaluating the feasibility and implications.

What's the economy of those countries running the system like?
He should start from Oragbiji, extend the entire Osun state then the entire country will know that 'Charity has begun from home '.

He wants the Nigerian elite to fund his 2027 election by using the law.

That guy is high.
