I just pity that Mayor.
In about 5 years time,
Some set of people will start dragging position with him and their elected citizens.

Japan should be very careful of alllowing foreigners anyhow into their country

I hope they make strict regulations so these Nigerians don’t import their colonized mindsets and Islam + Christianity to pollute their land

Do some soul searching within urself and tell me if tunubu is worth the hype.Creating opportunities in diaspora while destroying the domestic home front with self destructive policies that bring hardship and poverty.
As for ur ethnical rhetoric, I share in ur thought about the so called yeebos but truth be told Yorubas hv proven Tru tunubu govt and cabinets tht they r no way better in any aspect.
Yes na, he's destroying home with his policies where there's no fuel scarcity & queues, no strikes, revenue to debt servicing is reducing, paying off legacy debts, trade surplus, stock exchange recording longest gains in years, foreign reserves increase, revenue allocation increasing, etc. All you guys ever know is to eat your future today and start complaining.

When was the last time there was no hardship? While you're talking of hardship, some people are taking advantage that the hardship brought. Personally, due to the policy on importation of goods/agriculture, I have started EXPORTATION OF FOODSTUFFS and I make more money now than before. When people are intellectually lazy, they'll compzlain about everything. Get to work, there's no President that will dash you money.

Nigerians shouldn't go there and be constituting nuisance. Make everybody just respect himself and obey the laws of the land.

Yahoo Yahoo fraudsters, drug traffickers, Cultists and prostitutes should stay away from this place please.this is basically what came to my mind. I will be entering the city next week to see it and observe the terrain. There are bright young folks back home who are ready to take advantage of this opportunity. I pray bad elements don't use drug dealing and cultism to ruin our image in Japan same way they did in UAE.

God bless the federal republic of Nigeria.

Agbero, omoniles, skullarship practitioners should steer clear from the place.
Tribalísts, those that love insulting elders and obas, and those that love changing names of streets should know that their uncivilized conduct will not be tolerated.
We want peace in our hometown.
So stay in your Lagos.

I am certain it’s just a matter of time before our people unleash their raw, aneemalistic behavior. That’s why some of us believe the government isn’t our problem,.we ourselves are the problem.
The government is also chosen from the citizens

it is just name, doesnt mean Nigerians can move there.

Japan is one of the most homogenous country in the world. You will almost never feel at home there. Just visit, study, do your business and leave.
there is nothing wrong with a country being homogenous

I am not comfortable with this idea. Shouldn't the newly welcomed Nigerians in Japan be allowed to explore whatever part of Japan they want to and not be limited to a particular city?

Are they trying to use Nigerians to build this city or what? I just don't like it. 😑
it is their country after all you are not the one to dictate for them

Anyone who knows how to read between the lines can tell from the original news article the intention of Japan, key phrases are, "blue collared jobs", "ageing population" and "declining agricultural land" and even going further to emphasize "unskilled" labour, take from that what you will, God bless Nigeria and God bless Japan ☹️.
isn't it obvious

Cousin9999:
1. Japanese are very racist. Don't be fooled by emulation.

2. Despite a developed looking country, they treat women horribly and laws do not protect women and girls. It wouldn't be wise to bring a daughter or wife to that country. https://www.nairaland.com/8137163/black-box-diaries-womans-fight

3. They look the other way when it comes to crimes against children. And it's only recently that they raised the age of consent. Prior to 2023, their age of consent was 13. They also have tons of media and products that would be illegal in just about every other country because of how they describe or involve minors.

4. H00kers are everywhere, and they treat it as normal.

5. Asians are quite ignorant about the rest of the world and other people -- even people in their region who are only a 2 hour flight away. It's not west Europe.

6. There are no laws against discrimination.

7. It's very common for them to create racist media depicting black people in offensive ways. And they reject any criticism of the practice.

8. Japanese men treat women so horribly that some Japanese women will latch onto just about any foreign man so she can have a decent relationship. These women will give very regular men everything. But they're still racist. They'll have your child, get you connected with work and other resources, but still be racist.

9. Half white and half black children are terribly abused by other children (and adults) in Japan. If that's how they treat a child who looks almost 100% Japanese, imagine what they'll do to an African child.

Japan is very homogeneous.. They hardly mix with foreigners. They just need workers for their industries. That is why they want to place all Nigerian immigrants in one city. You will learn when you get there. To get Japanese citizenship is very hard. I dont think they give citizenship to foreigners .
It’s not that deep! It’s just their culture! They love staying in their lane! They’re quiet people and barely make noise! You’ll hardly see a Japanese traveling to Europe or USA! If you have manners and you con hear the language, you’re good to go..

I hope you know that there are black Japanese? There are also Mixed Japanese? I understand your point but it’s not that deep like you think..

The Kisarazu is even better as it is in the Kanto region (where Tokyo is located). The other cities allocated to Ghana, Tanzania, and Mozambique are even worse. They are in far-flung areas with very few foreigners and especially Black people, and in temperate regions.

I understand the homogeneity and even link it to their safety and high social trust levels. However, at the bold, you cannot be a "Black Japanese". Japanese as a nationality differs from it as an ethnicity.

So the rumours are true afterall. Japan has opened its 'workforce' to Nigerians & other africans.
Meanwhile, good portion of africa have the population, the govts don't know what to do with it, they often resort to crimes.
Its ok, win-win? This is the opportunity for those complaining of jobs to move there & have a fresh start.
The Mayor of Kisarazu would have to be up and doing. Ihenetu can even setup his kingdoms there.
Oops, he's going to Ghanian jail! Seriously, we need to encourage all these 'about the place' people to take advantage of this
Interesting times ahead.
