If we go way back, you talk about Jose Luis Chilavert, Fabian Barthez (should even be the one credited with 'a playing goal keeper' tag), Jens Lehman, Edwin Van der sar, Rene Higuita, Julio Ceaser, Hugo Lloris Peter Schmeichel etc.

I think l prefer the list the way it is, albeit removing Mendy, for modern day goal keepers ranking.

Lehman too was good, but I dislike him for injuring players , especially with legs

Manuel Nuer. You hardly score against him even in PES.
De gea is not good in low balls while Curtois in not good olin one on one.

Victor Valdes started the bold.

Some of these people people are too young to remember Victor Valdez. In terms of ball playing GK, man was ahead of his time.
It's why Barcelona was also ahead of every team that time.

Neur improved on what Valdez had in place. It's like Pep improving from where Cruff left behind. In this generation and even beyond it, Manuel Neur for me is the goat GK.

I've seen prime Scmichel, Buffoon, Casilas, Czech, etc and Neur is better than them all overall if you consider all their skills. He revolutionised the GK position.

3. Alisson Becker

Elite balance of shot-stopping, distribution, and leadership. Crucial for Liverpool’s Champions League and Premier League triumphs.

4. Marc-André ter Stegen

Brilliant reflexes, great passing ability, and consistency at Barcelona.

5. Ederson

Possibly the best distributor of the ball among all goalkeepers. Changed the way City build from the back.

6. David De Gea

In his prime (2015–2018), he was nearly unbeatable, saving Manchester United countless times.

7. Gianluigi Donnarumma

Still young, but his Euro 2020 heroics showed his peak potential.

8. Emiliano Martínez

Clutch performer, especially in penalty shootouts (Copa América & World Cup). Not as consistent overall as the top names.

9. Édouard Mendy

Short but brilliant peak (Champions League 2021 run with Chelsea). Didn’t maintain top form long enough compared to the rest.

We must still give him his honour. Besides he finally became a good goalkeeper towards the end of his career at barcelona.

Persin wey Sabi, the only person in that their yeye list that can match up with any of the ones in your beta list is Donnarumma and he is a small boy compared to Buffon.
