Today, the First Lady, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, through the Renewed Hope Initiative, empowered 1,000 women and persons living with disabilities by providing them with the tools they need to build sustainable businesses and better lives.

Her Excellency’s commitment to uplifting women stems from her belief that women are central to the progress of any society. Here in Lagos, we share this conviction, which is why we supported the programme by contributing an additional 500 empowerment items to ensure that more women could benefit.

To the beneficiaries, I urge you to use these gifts wisely, grow your businesses, and in doing so, grow the wealth of your families and of Lagos.

The economic policies of this government have caused endemic hardship in Nigeria. Empowering 1000 people in a country of over 200 million people amounts to favoring the few.

that is tinubu's idea of governance...destroy the system that distributes wealth and opportunities to all without favour and concentrate that power in himself so that he can selectively decide what everybody gets the weealth and opportunities of the country
