This story is so heartbreaking. imagine being tied and kept indoors for a whole five years. this incident happened "In Igbukwu, a town in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, a shocking scene left residents in disbelief. A young man was tied up by his own father, for a reason best known to him. sparking outrage and condemnation across the community."

It was alleged that the father has been telling the people of the community that his son has travel to China for a business trip. this kept on for a whole five years. not until august 2025, when the youth of the community got a tip off that the young man is being held against his will at his fathere's house with hands and legs chained for over five years. they stormed the compound, search the house and discovered the shocking truth. the man was indeed tied and kept indoors for since 2021. when the youth interrogated him, he was sound and even told them that he has been held against his will since 2021. he has not even taken his bath nor seen the outside world since five years.

the very person that was said to have traveled to china was in chains and malnurished. "Eyewitnesses say the father restrained his son because, according to the father that the son has been threatning to kill him. so inoder to defend himself, he had to chained him up and kept him indoors. leaving the boy helpless and humiliated. The reason for this extreme act still remains unclear, but many in the community have described it as a disturbing display of abuse rather than discipline."

"While some defend the father’s action as a form of self defence or ‘tough love,’ others have strongly condemned it as a violation of human dignity. Rights groups are now calling on authorities to investigate the matter and ensure the boy’s safety."

What type of self defense or tough love is this? They should do the same to him and those who are defending his action.

I doubt the young man is mentally stable. How can you be bound for 5 years in that kind of environment?

So many people will not understand what exactly is going on in some families. I pray the guy get his sanity back bcus a grown person chained for that duration of years can't be normal and the villagers most keep him safe far away from home

The father should be sent to jail for the same number of years with same treatment.

It's very obvious that the father is lying. He lied that the son travelled to China and now that he has been caught he is telling another lie of the son threatening to kill him.
This shouldn't be kept as a family affair but the law should take it's proper course.

This is like the mythical story of Zeus who was foretold to destroy his father. Which made the father to swallow all his children, but Zeus mother craftily wrapped a stone in baby cloth to deceive the father. In the end the fortune came to pass just as predicted
