if someone spends his/her money to buying Land and build house, the before he dies, they requested you bury them in their own house compound, but because you who don't know how people make their money but you choose to sell Thier property now asking why

We paid 10 million to bury my cousin last year in a burial ground in Lagos.

I never witnessed it. Some of his relatives recently came to the neighborhood asking for the place they buried their brother about 25 years ago. They have forgotten the place. (They knew they did not complete purchase payment of the land so they quickly buried the dead there and the landlord at that time wasn’t buying that. He sold the entire land including the corpse to another person. And another person sold it to another person. Yet another person sold it to another person who later sold it to the final person). Those that know the transfer and transaction history never told all the purchasers the situation and none was ready to tell the deceased relatives asking for inquiries the location as it could cause legal issues.

Tell and be prepared to shalaye it in court.

It's easier to Sell a Loved one's Property but the thoughts of selling your loved one together with their Property makes it hard.

I know of someone whom fought tooth and nail just to make sure her late spouse wasn't buried in his property. Last Last, she won and he wasn't buried in his Property.

2 Months Later, She sold the Property without Blinking.

It's common my side. I have REALLY close people who were buried in their living rooms.

Many reasons
1. No money for cemetery payment
2. To claim the land and prevent land thieves
3. Probably due to the request of the departed.

It is so annoying sha.

I remember the town where I served in Sokoto State. I didn't see any grave beside or infront of any house. I asked the boy I was tutoring if people no dey die for there.
Turns out they bury people in the cemetery.
