Yeah! Gomez and Bradley just returned from injuries! This was an intense match that came too soon for them to start.
I know we haven't really played well from start to finish up! That will come!!
But let us collect our points first!! A teams ability to collect maximum points even when not at their best, is the hallmark of champions!!
Scrape the win! It's very necessary at times!
And don't be surprised! We may have scored more goals that the 3 we scored, if Gordons wasn't red carded.
Football is a psychological game! At the end of the day! Na 3 points matter!!
You absolutely right. Red card can sometimes be a motivation. And can also sometimes make the other team a bit more relaxed. But I am very sure Arsenal won't have won these games if they ever get in those types of situations of draws .. mark these cos the coach will start bringing defenders for defenders.

Newcastle that played boring game against Aston Villa last week just wanted to prove something to Liverpool today. Normally they won't play like this. They played like as if it's a final. Now they have derailed their season due to injuries. 36 games to go.
Aswear they won die for field!! Na so dem dey always do

guy forget that. No matter how bad Liverpool is, Arsenal CANNOT beat Liverpool at Anfield. Never possible! Even when we were terrible, they couldn't let alone now.
Besides, this same Newcastle beat them home and away last season. So to go there and get 3 points is not easy
Well, you do make a great point there...!

In any case, Arsenal has unfortunate injuries to 2 key players.

Let's see how things work out in the transfer, konate should be settled after the contract saga and Giovanni leoni might offer us some quality. Gomez na injury player so he hardly get chance to play. We still need one more attacker or may be slot hasn't found the right midfield combination. In the next two or three months, the team will be more balanced and better in performance.
They better do everything to get isak a CB, and a DM .. sell Curtis and Elliott..

Most importantly, find a back up for Salah...

Kerkek isn't that good as first choice left back for Liverpool.
Konate is seemingly average at that centre back and his wing and errors always the opponent's advantage to score.
Liverpool needs a more tactical and confident centre back to maintain their winning.

By the way, 2 Nigerian blood scored for both NewCastle and Liverpool tonight.
William Osula and Chima Ngumoha...

These are the same idiots who mock man utd for playing a draw away against a team that flogged them home and away last season. All I know is that everybody will collect this season. If u like play and win those weak teams when ur day comes you'll collect ur share of the beating.
It's an insult for you to compare league winner with perpetual loosers

Man U see your mate.Newcastle were down to 10 Men but still played high intensity football.Tenancity and hunger, in fact !

However,I’m still curious about the 11 minutes additional-time.Who the helly calculated such huge number?
Re: Newcastle United Vs Liverpool (2 - 3) On 25th August 2025 by emmancipated(m): 6:51am On Aug 26, 2025
What an interesting match. People wey dey complain of 11 minutes either didn't watch the match or are just being biased. Because at the time, the extra time seemed like it favoured Newcastle, because they were on the ascendancy and were pressing like mad, and was also the most likeliest to score the next goal.

Omo Bleep EPL and their officiating. Just fixing games for Salah and co.
Same play from Liverpool last week. Go 2 goals up, concede 2 goals, then use some rubbish officiating to win.
