The same administration who said LGA is autonomous and should have an account with the CBN and how many months are past gone!!!!!

Let this administration stop hiding behind beaucracry but rather let it force hands that need to be forced and get it done now now now.
You don change to another narrative, you don carry goalpost reach LG 🤣. So if LG autonomy does not matter, why are all the state Governments quickly conducting LG elections?.

I'll be honest, I don't support the ban on exporting of raw lithium.

Juicy ncentives should be provided to those who choose to process it locally.

I am a firm believer in the free market.
Exporting raw material is the reason why Nigeria is poor today. If you process and refine lithium, you develop new capabilities in battery production.

Nigeria needs to focus on it metal industry - lithium, Gold, iron/steel and Bauxite/Aluminium and hydrocarbon industry

The goalposts have not been shifted.
Th conducting of the LGA elections by State governors is just like the ban of exporting the lithium raw materials. It is just that and nothing more.
There is nothing significantly visible to show that the next stage of implementation for proper functionality is in place and would take place.

I pity your generation. In your mind, I share the same country with you🤣🤣🤣
Don't worry, you will cry. Had I known is the last statement of a fool.
Continue your propaganda.

Weldone o, Lithium is PMB's project, you should have even said it was Buhari that created Lithium, maybe Buhari also created Gold and other mineral resources in the country 🤣🤣. So a Govt cannot come and have its own initiatives in every sector?. Take for instance, this initiative of banning exportation of raw lithium, was it Buhari's initiative?. Park well abeg.

Nigeria isn't poor today because it simply exports raw materials. Most of Chile's exports are in the raw form and it's become a wealthy country today. Most of Canadas and Australia's commodities exports to China are in their raw form.

South Africa, Africa's largest exporter of non-oil minerals ships most out in their raw state or with little value added. It isn't even a centre for jewelry or cut diamonds.

Your problem is lack of proper Education. You seem not to know the meaning of the word " initiative" and that's your problem. No one is saying Buhari did not commission a Lithium plant or that Buhari does not deserve credit. But we are talking about an initiative of the current administration that's helping to revolutionize the sector. Tinubu says unprocessed lithium must not be exported and that's an executive order. Buhari did not say that during his tenure. This group are commending Tinubu for making the processing of our raw materials a priority which was not the case in the past. Anyways, people with average understanding or less are plenty on the internet.

If there's any one ministry that has a very huge potential (to the country, its people & those in charge should they want to be greedy) yet stays under the radar, it is the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development.

We've been focused for many years on the so-called "juicy" ministries that we failed to realize that whoever heads this very important ministry can orchestrate multi-million dollar theft & go unnoticed just because the spotlight isn't on them: this is the ministry responsible for our gold, tin, coal, lithium, bitumen, limestone, iron ore and uranium deposits etc.

Under official cover, a Minister with stealing tendencies can coordinate the diversion and theft of several kilograms of gold and sell on the black market without much noise.

Noticed how Mr. Dele Alake (a media man) is hardly in the news (remember, he specifically requested PBAT to hand him this ministry)? Man is just busy doing his work without any media attention.
So you were with Tinubu when dele alake called and requested to be assigned ministry of solid minerals. The confidence some of you have when lieing is so alarming. Carrier of fake news everywhere.

A simple Google search would’ve helped cure your ignorance by the way but hey, you’re welcome.

This is from the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Nigeria has a large population and must develop an industrial base to create jobs. Canada is a major exporter of steel, aluminium, automobiles, and refined hydrocarbons. These countries have a balance between exporting raw materials and producing manufactured goods. SA manufacture 600,000 autom obile.

Chile : Chile's mining industry is majority controlled by Chilean companies
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_Chile
agriculture: 3.5%
industry: 29.7%
services: 56.9%

Chile's mining industry is highly diversified but they have a significant level of unemployment..

In addition to copper, Chile was, in 2019, the world's largest producer of iodine[58] and rhenium,[59] the second largest producer of lithium[60] and molybdenum,[61] the sixth largest producer of silver,[62] the seventh largest producer of salt,[63] the eighth largest producer of potash,[64] the thirteenth producer of sulfur[65] and the thirteenth producer of iron ore[66] in the world. The country also has considerable gold production: between 2006 and 2017, the country produced annual amounts ranging from 35.9 tonnes in 2017 to 51.3 tonnes in 2013.[67]
The value added to Chile's gross domestic product by the manufacturing sector amounted to 26.51 billion U.S. dollars in 2023. Between 1960 and 2023, the value added increased by $ 22.15 billion U.S. dollars, although the rise followed an uneven trajectory rather than a consistent upward trend.

South Africa

agriculture: 2.6%
industry: 24.6%
services: 62.6%

SA has a diversified mining sector but a very high level of unemployment.

In 2019, the country was the world's largest producer of platinum;[69] the world's largest producer of chromium;[70] the world's largest producer of manganese;[71] the 2nd largest world producer of titanium;[72] the world's 11th largest producer of gold;[73] the 3rd worldwide producer of vanadium;[74] the 6th largest world producer of iron ore;[75] the 11th largest world producer of cobalt;[76] and the 15th largest world producer of phosphate.[77] It was the world's 12th largest producer of uranium in 2018.[78]

The confidence with which some of you agbado people lie on the Internet is second to none.
Congratulations! You are building the future of your linage.

It clearly states here that this administration built the first lithium processing plant in Nasarawa. Which is OBVIOUSLY a blatant, bold faced lie!

"The Northern group, Arewa Think Tank (ATT) has wholeheartedly commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for its groundbreaking initiatives in the solid minerals sector, particularly the lithium revolution.

A statement by the Convener of Arewa Think Tank, Muhammad Alhaji Yakubu said this bold move marks a significant shift in Nigeria’s economic trajectory, ensuring that the natural resources are harnessed for the benefit of the people.

“The establishment of Nigeria’s first lithium processing plant in Nasarawa State, along with several other factories across the country, demonstrates President Tinubu’s administration’s commitment to value addition and local beneficiation."
