Much as the electricity law has come to stay, the Governors are still slow to fully executing it. Much of what they are doing is largely implementing the distribution segment while they have shown less interest in the generation segment, partly because it is capital intensive. We don't really expect them to do it all by themselves, the law empowers them to attract private investors as parrners which makes it much easier. But as we speak, they rather the FG bears the burden of generating and transmitting while they only distribute in their states. However, to whom much is given, much is expected, Governors should be doing better. -Kiss the truth! |

TimeManager:The kind of governors we have in Nigeria lack the intelligence to think of solutions to complex problems like power generation and transmission. |

Tinubu has signed a law that allows states and companies to run the three segments of power business, why is the FG still investing in national grid? Give loans to states that are willing to take their destiny into their hands! Why is running this country such a rocket science? |

TimeManager:Quite accurate, and I've made the same point before, but motivated States are moving seeking private sector partners for their preferred solutions. I am confident the SW will make headway because attracting private sector partner will depend on State proving exhaustively that the partnership will be profitable and ROI is assured for the Private Company or companies involved. |

May God bless Bola Ahmed Tinubu. May he prosper and may Nigeria progress. Everything this man is doing is quite progressive though more is still expected however, if past leader both state and federal level were aggressive with wooing investors I want to believe nigeria would have been better for it. The man, with all the many challenges is selling nigeria in a positive light trying to make Nigeria better for it. Now I wish he will be there for atleast 20years. Because I have seen most progressive economies have most time one ruler for a long time and it pays alot because of progressive governance. Eg china, Russia, UAE, just name it. Democracy distroys progress. America is currently suffering it. |

When Nigeria had surplus, Atiku admitted to squandering our funds by paying some electricity contractors 100%. He admitted the contractors disappeared. Today, Atiku wants to rescue Nigeria. Had Atiku and Obasanjo done things methodically, Nigeria would have been better off for it. Adding 12,000MW to our national nal grid and increasing transmission capacity would boost our electricity supply. May Tinubu continue to succeed. May Nigeria continue to win. |

That's great. I am in cooldipo inverter WhatsApp group. I was planning to buy a second battery from him early last year. A guy DMed me from the group that I shouldn't waste my money buying another battery. I asked him why and he said the government is seriously working on the power sector. Truly, since the past two months now; I've not been using the one I bought from him at a stretch. Power has been constant. |

Pascal9:I’ll believe it when I see it. If you don’t adopt☝️this policy in this administration, you’ll end up like a woven tangled web. Unfortunately, we are currently experiencing the worse electricity power availability in my community. So, no! Tinubu doesn’t get any points. |

emkz:Surely, you are not one of the fools. I followed the probe of how Obasanjo and Atiku shared $16billion to Party members labelled contractor in order to grease their elbows. Ndudi Elumelu was the Chairman of the probe committee in the House of Representative. It was broadcast live on TV. Anyone who was not part of that corruption will feel disdain for pdp. Ndudi was finally robbed in his own corruption since as a pdp member seems to be exposing pdp. To see Atiku parading himself as a messiah is nauseating. I pity the Genzs who knows nothing and still claim they knew everything. |

SmartPolician:There was a discussion on maybe nairaland or twitter on the issue of holding State governors accountable that their allocation has increased after the removal of fuel subsidy and some people commented that they have no business holding the governors responsible that it's the president. |

SmartPolician:Pointing to the fact that if government even follows your suggestion by giving loans to willing states; some will still criticize FG of giving loans to states to generate, transmit and distribute. As someone pointed out that states aren't willing to commit to generation because it's capital intensive. |
