COMRADES, if news is true, then Hope is a good governor, but if it is not, then the good people of Imo State are awaiting a disastrous explosion under this governor
Ignore what you read online about Hope Uzodimma.
He's arguably the best governor in this present administration.
His works are speaking for him.
No be by media noise.

Of course, I am.
Are you?
If you are, when was the last time you were in Imo state?
Because, I gotta to tell you, the last time I visited ( around December 2024), virtually all the roads were perfect, with lights, and we had no difficulty driving through.
The only place we had a bit of issue was around Assumpta, and that was because the control flyover work was ongoing by then (which they've even finished now), and we had to find our way around it.

By the way, traveling from the SW to SE, Delta and Imo were the only states we passed through that had good roads.
The rest were trash. Especially Ogun and Edo. Even Anambra.

The exchange rate by itself is not the main issue. The main problem is that we are paying too much for political office holders who don’t add as much value to the system as civil servants do.

Do you know of any developed country where they pay politicians more than civil servants, including teachers and healthcare professionals? Why would we japa there if they don’t pay ordinary workers well enough compared to politicians?

In any case, eb1lokan has crashed the exchange rate as he promised, just as he has also crashed petrol price below January 2023 level, which is how ọmọlúwàbís honour their words.
Oga politicians earn way more than any civil servants all over the world.

Do you know how much the MP earn in the UK compared to civil servants?

How is it possible to give someone allocation from the JOINTLY owned federation account? Are you sure you understand how federation account works huh

anonimi:
FG, States, LGs Share N568.4 Billion for Oct
15 NOVEMBER 2013

Also, $1billion was proposed for distribution to complement shortfall in expected revenue." The $1billion is a compromise by the FG over its words in September not to augment shortfalls anymore.

Responding to the presentation, the chairman of the States Commissioners of Finance and Ebonyi State Commissioner of Finance, Mr Timothy Odaah, lamented that the statutory allocation was getting smaller and smaller. "It appears this is the worst in terms of returns. This is the least in allocations as far as this year is concerned. We are mourning the dearth of funds and this is a wakeup call for states and local governments to buoy up their internally generated revenue."

While appreciating the "magnanimity" of President Goodluck Jonathan to approve the $1billion from the excess crude account and to be shared among the federal, state and local governments, Odaah expressed disappointment with the returns made by the NNPC.

He said that the states had requested for $2bn to complement for the shortfall in revenue but got only $1billion. In September, Odaah and fellow commissioners had walked out of the Accountant General of the Federation (AGF) when the federal government said that the framework of the 2013 budget was no longer realistic and it won't augment shortfall in revenue. Odaah raised issues with the statutory allocations of previous months.

Be calming down. People that know Hope very well know that this na audio. He deliberately wants to create a problem for the next administration.

Baba, main issue in that country is exchange rate. You can have Naira at the current rate and expect any good. 222k is merely above $120/ month in a country where common rent is now so high. food so expensive.

How much is an aide to a common local govt chairman or House of rep, or even house of rep member with school cert, collecting? You did see anything wrong with that, but the paltry pay rise to lecturers in Imo State all of a sudden is why your naira will be destroyed? huh You're not okay upstairs.

People don't really know what's happening in their state.

In Imo state, there's a ministry of digital economy currently shaping the lives of youths;

40,000 youths have been trained in digital skills, under the skill-up Imo program. Generally, the program targets 300,000 youths, equipped with toolkits, internships, and business support.

With UNDP’s partnership, over 1,000 SkillUp graduates have secured long-term employment (verifiable)
