Better than having another bandit issue. However there should be proper notification when such a thing is to happen. On the other hand, if the real enemy hears of such advanced notice, they might want to sync their ops to match the time of such live fire drill. You see, when tragedy befalls some Nigerians, just know they are the architect of their own tribulations in life. Someone raised an alarm over a perceived security threat, he called on all security agencies to come to their rescue. If it later turned out not to be what he reported, I feel he still deserves praise and commendations for being proactive. Not everyone will see such and report. A lot of people just care of about their personal lives alone and may be their families, others can go and die for all they care. You don't come out to start condemning such a person, calling him a liar. This is very shameful and regrettable. Soon their will be an incident, when no one reports, then you will read reports of massive casualties.... The security agencies are not doing enough, they need to be prompted, reported, called out, criticised and encouraged where necessary until things become okay again. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Administration1:You dont give notification for a drill. The purpose of a drill is to know the level of alertness and responsiveness, if people know about it, it removes the element of surprise, that happens in an emergency situation. So once that element of surprise is gone, it is no more a drill |

Proudlyngwa:I feel your definition of a drill in this context is where the bone of contention lies. I have attended basic and advanced Nasro drills a couple of time and I must tell you, once it involves a public area, such drills must be announced to prevent unnecessary fear, trauma, and strong physical reactions, especially for children. The watch word there is public areas, however If it's in a camp, training school etc, a drill may not be announced so as to gather data on responsiveness and alertness. |
