It's not about raising, it's about paying it ,and not the one the news will say then are yet to paid such amount after 2 years
Lagos wanted to push theirs upward then , but i guess they didn't want to create issues for other states and even FG . In the words of Gov. SanwoOlu then ," i would be glad to come on air in January 2025 to announce that his government would be paying N100,000 minimum wage." And also said it isn't a matter of competition but so that staff could have a living wage.

Since he didn't do that this January , he might want to do so by January 2026 . Imo State governor has made it a subject to be revisited .

But why no major news outlets carry it, except unverified mushroom social media platforms and Tinubu television website.

Hope, Hope won't come out to dash the hope of hopeless public servants ooo
It was announced last night on the governor's verified Facebook account. It will hit the headlines of traditional media houses today.

While Abia state is still paying 30 thousand naira as minimum wage. Competing with zamfara and Sokoto state.

It's such a shame.
Imo governor did many outstanding projects with high quality. He is among the best governors but those igbos who hate him is simply because he is APC. Otti is just an average governor just like obi who they over hyped. I have watched numerous of his projects. Just look at what he has done again. He was the first governor who ban the fraudulent school graduation and non usage of text books by younger siblings. My governor Okpeboho, show workings by imitating him cos you governors has been receiving huge amount of money on monthly basis from Tinubu managerial acumen. God bless hope Uzodinma who has set up standard and we will know those thieving governors very soon. Abia collected more than imo from federal allocation. Imagine it was Uzodinma that constructed those pig houses and called it smart school. What south east don't know is that performance is not by political party but personality.

Paying doctors 5times other workers is crazy, he forgot that every occupation has it own usefulness, imagine the so called teachers are receiving less and you all expect magic to happen to your children

Commendable but not nearly enough particularly for doctors. The brain drain continues

You will see the people that hate any good news come and say rubbish here. People whose messiah was a failed governor for 8years.
One above you has just juon the bandwagon train already. The hope they crucified daily is even better than the over hyped Otti who just constructed pig houses and called it smart schools

Imo State will attract more doctors by this move and those states that place no value on doctors will pay dearly.

Has he started paying it? Or, is it another empty promise without implementation?

Until he starts paying it, if not, this false hope is good as nothing.

580 for doctors? Ridiculously low. We can't keep them and make them do the work like this

Anything, good work for the men at the base.
Appreciate small win.

Nice gesture from the governor

Is that 582k before or after tax?

That's the real question
Before tax of course? Where in the world does any one annouce a net salary figure? isn't it always gross!

In any job you've done, did they tell you your salary was the net figure?

My electrical bill moved from 4k to 10k. Etc. So I should dance for Tinubu na

That's how because of tribal supremacy you guys supported a lunatic into power.... You guys are not after a working country, you just want tribal supremacy...
