oluayebenz:Are you sure about that ? Remember that these people salary used to be N100 (as in one hundred naira) only ahswear. So imagine the govt that was in charge when lecturer salary was N100 and the subsequent govts after that, follow what you are clamouring fir and decide not to increase the salary. No be die be that? Just try imagine N100 salary monthly for lecturer in 2025 🙀🙀 ![]() So by your logic are you saying all the govt that contributed in taking the salary of this crucial segment of the workforce from N100 in the 1960s to N200,000 now in 2025 don't know what they are doing? Now wonder Nigeria is now comfortably seated in the list of top 10 countries where it is dreadful to be an employee! Na people like you dey cause am. While SA you guys love to lambast is among G20 Nations. Let me explain to you now that Naira has devalued, GOVERNMENT now has more in terms of naira to spend! This is why HE keeps chorusing upadan all over the place that he increased allocation to all the executive state government (doubling, in some cases trippling their allocations). So why could they not extend that to the workers? Majority of the average workers salary in Nigeria whether in private or public sector right now has been powerless by the man policies. Atimes it looks like he doesn't have blood flowing in his veins, no human compassion whatsoever. Note. I am not referring of the privileged positions collecting from 1m to 10m monthly. These ones will be using the few selves which are only a handful to judge the entire workforce. This is where the problem lies. They do to support His wicked policies so they will save their jobs |

Irony1:Imo State is more than capable to pay even 300k minimum wage. as usual, politicians will keep deceiving you. There's money in the state |

Broveens42:So this is what a man has achieved in nearly 6 years in office? Reconstructing federal roads that he will ask a refund for? Una no just get shame for this country |

Mariangeles:Rest! Stop limiting your knowledge of Imo State to Owerri. Imo State has 27 LGAs and Hope has just done a few jobs in Owerri to attract people's attention and commendation. Thank God there are serious governors like Governor Peter Mbah who has done in less than 3 years what Hope couldn't do in 6 years. |

SmartPolician:I'm giving you statistics of what no governor in Nigeria has done Show me any governor in Nigeria that risked building 3 fed projects with the hope of a refund. Show me any governor in Nigeria that's following the global trend of visible empowerment of her youths in technology Show me any governor in the history of Imo State that ensured functionality and stability of 2 tertiary health systems(IMSUTH & FMC) Show me any governor that's intentional about generating it's own electricity across all LGAs (not audio)... I mean, a visible power plant called orashi power plant, with visible office already in the city of owerri(along bank road) What I'm stating are verifiable. Do criticize, and I would roll out more...

Broveens42:Oga stop being naive. I never said there's no money in Imo try to read and comprehend before replying. I am only pointing out to Hope's antecedents previously that he is not someone to trust. This is a classic game they are playing especially when they know they are not coming back. This was the same style that Ohakim did as well with Imo 10k jobs. |

Irony1:You are the one that need to go back to school. The tricks most governors do, is employ a lot of people towards the end of their tenure(most times, without following due process). What hope did was improving salary(slightly above minimum wage) for work force in place. How's that going to affect an already blossoming economy in Imo State? |

Broveens42:You are a good praise singer, but we know governors who are actually working in Nigeria. Unfortunately, Hope Uzodinma doesn't even come any close. Hope Uzodinma will construct one road and invite Buhari to come and commission it. Perhaps you should take a second and see what has happened in Enugu in 2 years. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBDlxMitN_4?si=DusLfpKmKez3j4gV If Hope can boldly compile a documentary of his achievements like this, then I will take him seriously. Dude has nothing to offer. Like I always say, we live in the social media age. If a governor is doing well, he doesn't need to pay traditional media houses to promote him - his people will do a free social media promotion for him. |

SmartPolician:I was expecting you to crawl out of some shell ... it's now obvious you don't know projects without needs assessment is no project.. Just like Rochas claimed he built 27 uncompleted buildings and called it health centers without equipping already existing ones |

Broveens42:Address the point I raised. Tell Hope to compile all the things he has achieved since he became governor. For you, you are just veering out of point. He should stop wasting Imo State money on traditional media channels promoting himself; Nigerians know governors who are actually working. At this juncture, I quit this debate. Drop the video link when you have it. Adiós! |

oluayebenz:oga Nigeria exchange rate is not improving anything soon. Either is the economy getting better. So if this is the only way poor masses/civil servant can get something out of this people let it be. They want to increase the salary of politicians. People collecting millions and they want to increase their salary so that they can collect more millions, while you don't want the salary of those collecting thousands for there salaries to be increased. |

oluayebenz:Oga calm down. While civil servants are too many, but still in the grand scheme of things, how many are they compared to the working population? Civil servants in Imo State are probably not up to 3% of the working population of that state. Is it the extra N40k that will cause inflation? If you are looking to the cause of inflation better look at the N22TRLN ways and means and N15TRLN budget defict as culprits. This idea that marginaly raising salary increases inflation is a bit outdated. Besides in 2023 before there was even the salaryincrement from N35k to N70k, didn't inflation rise massively? So what was the cuase of that one?? There are many other factors that impact inflation more heaviliy than minimum wage, so let the civil servants breathe! Clearly your own knowledge of economics and the key drivers of our economy is fairly limited! |

Broveens42:You see why you lack comprehension and deductive reasoning(no pun intended). I used Ihedi Ohakim's case as an analogy. Hope himself stated during his election campaign to send thousands of Imo Youths to Europe to work, please where are the youths now? Also we know clearly that these increments cost money and we do not know the debt profile of the state and if the next government can adequately fund this increment. |
