I wanted to buy a phone recently and it comes with type c charger . One of the marketing points is that it doesnot get damaged compare to charging ports of the android phone

Not sure about that claim. I think it's more about how careful you are as the user. I have used phones with the regular usb charing point, and for 4 plus years, I never had an issue with it.

Just be careful and use your device well, no issues with charging point at all.

Not true. If you yank the charger anyhow u will see anyhow ....I have seen

It does not damage charging port easily because it works both ways if you turn it. What damages charging port most is mistakes in pluging usb the wrong way.

It doesn't get damage that easily has you don't struggle with the chord same has iphone too.
But if you use a bad chord it can damage the charging port panel.

Ever since I have being using type C charging port phone, I haven't witnessed any issues with my charging port, I don't know about others

That's not true but they last longer than the other one

I have come to realize people often mistake Lightning for Type C.

The phone side yes

It’s true for iPhone also, because you can use both sides to charge.

Yes it does not get damaged easily because it fits both ways unlike the other type that fits one way and get easily get spoiled if you push it in the wrong way

Yes, it doesn't. It's far better the an the regular type. The only problem is when you wrongly troubleshooting the cable

Just make sure to buy original type c Cable because buying the wrong one will slow charge and it get damaged easily

Type C means peace of mind...

You will just plug your cord without minding the side

You can't get a phone without type C in 2026, so what options do you have. and yes, it doesn't spoil like type B. But to say it doesn't ever get spoilt is an exaggeration. Anything can develop fault.
