I have seen his IG page. That could only mean his mother is a Yoruba woman or he picked it up as a nickname. Someone said his mom is also Igbo but it is yet to be verified.

it could mean many things...

it could mean one of his parents maybe half igbo half yoruba.

it could mean his father is igbo and mum is Yoruba since it is the surname that will be on the back of his jersey.

it could mean he grew up with his igbo mum and his Yoruba father did not marry his igbo mum and was not present in his life so by igbo culture he then takes his igbo mum surname..

until there is a picture of him and his parents together with their names written then we would never know...

I believe if his father was Yoruba he would have a Yoruba 1st name.
