I just want to say something that might upset a few people, but please ,don’t break your head over it, just think about it.

So this morning, I’m minding my business, sipping lukewarm tea because NEPA did what NEPA does best, and then I see it,photos of Peter Obi’s only son and his partner. Not just any photos o, lovey-dovey soft launch turned hard launch type of post. And I paused.

Now hear me,it’s not even the relationship that I’m raising eyebrow at. No. Love who you love. Fly your flag. But you know this country. As much as we’re acting woke online, in real life Nigerians are still deeply homǒphobic. Let's not pretend. The same people shouting “live your truth” in the comments are also forwarding the picture on WhatsApp with “chai, see wetin this boy don do him papa.”

Is it fair?You know your father is a national figure, dragging plenty enemies like generator noise on a hot night. You know they’re waiting to chew anything they see. Why hand them popcorn and juice?

To me, it just feels a little selfish. Like, your father has worked, sweated, campaigned and you, knowing all the wahala that trails him, still say “drop it like it’s hot? We’re not asking you to hide who you are,we’re just saying, read the room. This room is Nigeria. This room is hot. 🥵

And that brings me to the deeper prayer of today:

May my enemies not catch me through my children. Amen.

Every thing about his soon existed before last election. It didn't stop us from voting him.It will not stop us from voting him in 2027.We are not Obidients because of obi family.
