Oya list the progress in terms of:
1. National security
2. New real jobs
3. Food price
4. Standard of living
5. Healthcare
6. Education
7. Manufacturing
8. Exports
Don't mind them, ever since Kukah visited Aso Rock his tone has changed. I believe brown envelope did the magic

My life is better 100 times now than how it was years ago.

Oya tell me, are Nigerians better now than they were years back and if Tinubu was a south east/ South South person, would you have given the person this kind of support?

Don't bring ethnicity into the discussion.

Good that you admit your life has improved during Tinubu tenure, that's mean his economic policy work better for you.

You don't expect him to say he doesn't know Tinubu again because he is now president, they've known eachother for a very long time

Arise will ignore Tinubu and the hundreds of his appointees and will instead go for a neutral person--who is not one of the people who got us into this situation, nor have the responsibility or power to get us out of it-- and start attacking them. Can't blame Rufai and Co, more like his guests saw how the previous guests were treated and insist they wanted to be a part of it.

Comprehend before responding, his asserted that anyone criticizing the president is one that is still feeling the effects of loosing an election, only sycophants talk this way, how many Nigerians are politicians? Those around you who complain are they feeling the effect of loosing ? You don't only sycophants paint those criticizing government as their enemies who lost elections. I criticize the president on issues concerning the economy, I don't need to wait for politician like soludo to talk or wait for WTO DG to speak, I can speak when I see data churned out by DMO, NBS every single time, criticizing doesn't mean I am a politician or part of the opposition only sycophants think this way.
We talking about blind criticism. Always understand the context of discussion before jumping in and also process information before arriving at conclusion, that's an attribute of intelligence everyone must imbibe

Maybe you attend different school that the basic economic principle you learned is different from what Prof. Soludo and Ngozi Okonjo Iweala learnt.

It is a shame for many like you to use the viewpoint of a market women to judge economic progress of a country where we have the real economist who has given nod to the progress made so far.

Why did many of you turned a blind eyes to the mess the government inherited. The national debt, the way and mean the FX backlog and the oil money spent in advance.

How best anyone could have manage the economy with these factors?

How would government have sustained subsidy with those cumulative negatives.?

It is only a dull mind that would criticize the government in economic decisions taken so far.
The economy is divided into 2 segments, macro and micro......we keep telling them the FG is doing well in stabilising the macro segment which directly concerns them which is the foundation that any economy should rest on to improve but many of this illogical obidients like bishop kukah said expects eldorado in 24 hrs....how more insane can one be.....the micro segment on the other hand is deliquent because the sub nationals who should be directly involved with the day to day sustainable of their citizens and that are supposed to work in synergy with the FG steps are doing next to nothing.

There's nothing wrong in criticizing government when they do anything wrong but it's also good to recognize and praise government when they do something worth of praise but when someone now make it an hobby to always criticized even when there is something to praise government for especially from a journalist and not opposition political party is out of place. Even for having the freedom to criticize government without being harassed as he is doing is worth of praise.

What would his preferred candidate would have done differently because it's the same policies the top three presidential candidates in the last election promised to implement is what this government is implementing.

Anyway Nigerian voters have spoken very loud and clear two weeks ago and I believe Rufai heard very well.

Stop lying exchange rate is not 1700. That's one of the negative energy from your end.
If you don't know how to tap from that opportunity come let me link you with where you can get a particular commodity for export, you will make your money as a middleman and not even the one exporting directly.

Stop your negative energy, it will reflect on your overall performance
Why don’t you just confirm that eb1lokan has done what his 2011 expired northerner Buhari failed to do in eight years? Has the Lagos magician crashed the exchange rate as he promised?

Is that not the best way to prove that you have stopped your own negative energy huh

World Bank offers Nigeria forex rate advice, as Tinubu eyes N200/Dollar rate

April 23, 2023

The President-elect said he would work with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to *bring down the exchange rate to N200 in his first term.*

“My administration will collaborate with the Central Bank to harmonize the fiscal and monetary policy to achieve immediate stabilization of the value of the naira against the US dollars and other currencies and in the short term, strengthen the naira by boosting the supply of foreign currency and moderating demand.

“The short-term goal is to achieve a naira/dollar rate of 300 naira/US$ and gradually achieve a less than 200 naira rate over the next four years, Tinubu stated.

Most won't understand the direction Bishop Kukah is coming from.

For the first time in a very long time, his people (the Southern Kaduna people) have not been subjected to killing sprees by the Fulani jihadists or destruction of their farmlands and raping of their women.

For the first time in a very very long time, Southern Kaduna people have secured the attention of the FG in terms of healthcare (for the first time ever, they now have a FMC), education (for the first time ever, they now have a federal university headed by one of their own, Prof. (Arc) Barnabas Qurix) , appointments (notably, CDS Chris Musa) and so on....

Even if the entire Nigeria says the current admin (at both state and FG level) has done nothing for them, no sane person of Southern Kaduna descent will re-echo such a claim because they've never had it so good like they're currently having it thanks to Gov. Uba Sani & President Bola Tinubu.

So, yeah, Bishop Kukah won't sit down for a TV interview where anyone would say they can't see anything good about this admin & he'll keep quiet. No way!

Any government that favours the political class/bougeoise class...more than its ordinary citizens....can be likened to a "failed and autocratic government." This BAT administration has really favoured the wealthy class while the proliterates and talakawas are left unattended to. Mind you, any policy of government that fails to have a positive and redeemable transformation in the lives of the people, no matter how good and enticing it may sound would always be regarded as a bad policy. This administration has not really done enough for the masses!

Security: Before now you can't travel by road from Abuja to Kaduna as bandit will attack you either in train or by road transport, today high profile personality stroll along that corridor.

There used to be bomb blast in ThisDay office, US Embassy, Madalla Cathedral and Yanyan bus stop but today check point has reduced yet bombing have been subdued so also herdsmen clashes with farmers have grossly reduced
New Job- Unless you not living in Nigeria that the info tech industry have had a new turned, gone are the days when you have to assemble all sort of machinery to make money, today smart money are easily made because of the improved internet facility

Health- Many Nigerian now have confidence in our local hospital as many life threatening diseases can now be threat in government hospitals, you don't have to travel to Indian for Kidney and heart related ailment

Education. In your lifetime, this is the period where government give indigent student loan to complete their education, there's no excuse for student going to school. First in Nigeria history, Technical school are now free and they even receive stipend for going to school. This has never happened in the history of Nigeria as a Federation

Manufacturing: The exchange rate difference is a motivation for a serious mind to produce, if you are industrious you will appreciate this government

Export: There's never been time before now where exportis taken seriously. Maybe you don't know that for 2 quarters our balance of trade is in surplus meaning our export surpass our import. In agriculture, cocoa, ginger, cashew has received boast with exportation

If you can't see any of these opportunities that abound I will leave you to continue with your complaints and negative energy
It's ironic how you listed major problems but then only highlighted a few, conveniently skipping others. It's pathetic that you ignored the rising food prices. You also highlighted a positive in national security while completely ignoring the recent killings in Benue, for which no arrests have been made. It's obvious you're benefiting from the suffering of the masses, so nothing anyone says will change your mind.

Which Tinubu?

Please we do well, anywhere we are, even if we in Somalia. That was why when they were protesting last year after voting Tinubu we were dancing Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo.

My question is are other Nigerians doing well like me?

Don't be selfish please, it's not all about me it's about Nigerians.

Are those around you that complain do they fall into this category? The problem with you guys is that you don't know when to differentiate when to be a sycophant and when to churn out assertions that will not be antithetical to societal development.

People are bound to be disenfranchised by the decisions of government, there reasons are very cogent considering the economic indicators available at our desk for discuss. How many percent of Nigerians do you even think belongs to the political class? You guys should be guided

You sure hit the nail on head right there. I can't but agree with your narrative. Economy was a disaster before he came in as president and according to him, he doesn't have a better choice than to give it to the citizens hot hot so as to repair the decades of incompetencies he met on ground. More like a case of if I perish, I perish.....i must do the right thing. During the course of doing the right thing also, he also fumbled and stumbled. He fumbled by spending 21Billion naira renovating the VP Lodge, allowing brand new SUVs for national Assembly, buying new airplanes and telling us the citizens to go on the lean analysis. Citizens should manage while you the President is engaging in yalla yollo spending. Then, how about those stealing from the treasury, he has not done so much in punitive reward to them, like Betta Edu etc.....

In a deeper silent reality, things are getting shaped out little by little but hasn't transcend to the small scale and medium scale enterprises. They can only smell it but hasn't arrived yet.

He's trying but needs to try the more. However, considering the few two years he has spent so far, I will give him a pass Mark for now.....atleast 55% of positive disposition to development.
Maybe I would say similar thing if am not exposed to government administration to some extent.

The question about VP house renovation is to asked whether it was budgeted for or not, if it was budgeted then it becomes legal and binding on the executive to implement.

Security are serious issues that is not compromised when it comes to the protection of the presidency, that is all over the world and not limited to Nigeria, the security heads determines all these things you see and no president would go against security recommendations not even Obi, Atiku or any aspirant out of Nigeria space. The decision of jet procurement is a reflection of our security architecture opinion and same decision would occured under any Nigerian president in this our era.

Yes, I quite agree with you that the government need to do more on corruption and prosecute those that are found guilty rather than patting them on the back with a sack letter but overall, corruption has reduced because we can see what our money can give us in area of infrastructure, how I wish Nigerians can beam their searchlight towards the state government to complement what FG government is doing.

For food production, the powers to increase agriculture produce lies with the governors because they have the power over land matters in their respective states, what's has the governors done in this regards despite increased in allocation, just as state government now have power to generate, transmit and distribute power, but few have shown seriousness over it.

Nigeria is a Federation and not a Unitary, there's should be shared responsibilities as well as shared blame, we should understand this fundamental before criticising so as not to appear like market people or an illiterate bus driver. Nairaland should be a convergence of knowledge and not a theatres for misinformation, abuse and propaganda

The problem with those who criticized this government is borne out hate, envy and losing out on the prediction of doom.

Rufai Oseni is one of those people and looking at it critically there's underlining fear in him to have a change of mind and to admit that he has been wrong.

The problem with Rufai Oseni and people of its like, is that he is immune to anything good about Nigeria. So, with all the good positive news and visible results, he must sneeze because he is allergic to seeing and hearing positive events in Nigeria.

Please let him continue to have headache and sneeze.
