The yorubas and the igbo engaged in a violent battle early today in the city of Lagos over little disagreement that was initiated by two random individual with different ethnic group.

It however resulted in the death of two persons before the intervention of the police men.

Am not backing or supporting anyone,I condem violence in all shape and form.

But I don't believe any of the above story. An average igbo man is not suicidal to start stabbing him self or rush in to stab another knowing the possible consequences. Like heck these guys look towards the end of every week or market day to go and take alot of beer and goat meat.

They don't appreciate being cheated in a deal yes, some might even cheat you...but for the "huzzling and business" ones to initiate a violence act first in the street against anyone or himself naaaaaaa it sounds like a made up story.

It's most probably(allegedly) that the Igbo guy tried to rip the kogi guy off on amount he is supposed to give him or (most possibly the customer priced well and paid less meaning lesser money for whom brought the customer as the owner of the business can't give away either his gain or capital) giving him less than is supposed...

the kogi guy charged and injured the Igbo guy who might have manoeuvred him and strike with same object leading to his death. The mob action later made him unconscious.

The above is a mere projection and not an actual visual of the event.

Even the person who reported the news is tribalistic, so the Igbo guy stabbed the Kogi/Yoruba guy n then stabbed himself? See biased reporting o!

IF U CANNOT LIVE PEACEFULLY TOGETHER AS BROTHERS WHICH U ARE BECAUSE OF POLITICS THEN JUST AS MAZINNAMDIKANU SAID, EVERYBODY ANSWER YOUR FATHER NAME.

SEPERATION NO BE FIGHT.

IT IS BETTER THAN THIS TRIBAL SUPREMACY RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN BROTHERS.

MANY THINGS DON SPOIL SINCE TINUBU.
Re: Fight At Mandilas Market, Lagos, One Dead (Graphic Photos) by Stolen: 9:09am On Aug 28, 2025
HOW U KNOW THINGS HAVE SPOILED SINCE TINUBU ENTER LAGOS.

U GET A TRAGIC AND SAD INCIDENT LIKE THIS AND IMMEDIATELY RATHER THAN SEEING TWO PEOPLE FIGHTING THEY WANT TO ESCALATE IT TO TRIBAL WAR.

THAT IS SIGN THAT THINGS DON SPOIL.

U MEAN TO TELL ME UNA NO THEY FIGHT EVEN INSIDE FAMILIY HOUSE?

LIKE I SIAD, WE ARE NOT AFRAID OF SEPARATION.

@Mbanda, you're very far from the truth. What's worse? You're very detached from accurate history. Igbo people brought tribalism into Nigeria socio-political space. As a fall out from the 1966 coup, Ironsi refused to kill the malefactors of Igbo extraction, whilst other tribes, mostly northerners and westerners, died in the1966 coup.

In his military cabinet, most of the appointees were Igbos.

You people behave like victims in a situation that no longer profits you.

You are the one that is far from the truth probably because, you don't want to accept the truth. Why are you revisiting what IBB and other God fearing historians have came out to debunk?

Take it or leave it, the 1966 coup is an awolowo/yoruba coup because the actors of the coup did it to enthrone awolowo (a yoruba man) into power.

Most of tinubu's appointees are Yorubas what have you said about that?

All the lies you and your likes have been telling people against the Igbos, do you have the video evidence to them?

As far as MC oluomo and his boys keep disrupting elections in Lagos in favour of tinibu and his appointees that means he gave them the order to be doing what they are doing period.

In 2027 tinibus boys will still come out to cause mayhem as usual let's watch and see.

Another aged long lie and propaganda from sad waste grin grin grin

It's only a liar and a mischief maker that will talk of the civil war without talking about the agreement that was made in Aburi.

What you called 'igbo ethnic cleansing" has been debunked by IBB who was an insider and other well-meaning historians who have the fear of God Almighty.

The fact remains that the coup was actually "awolowo/ Yoruba coup" because the actors of the said coup did what they did just to enthrone awolowo who iwas a Yoruba man as the president where by dethroning Zik an Igbo man.
Eiyah.... You go dey alright las las

Anyone that reads this part knows, deep down that igbo man is innocent;

“During the fight, one Ebuka Adindu from Abia State stabbed one Sodiq Ibrahim from Kogi State to death, and the said Ebuka Adindu in turn stabbed himself on the shoulder and became unconscious”

The fact that they were so much to punish the crime on him that they were contradicting themselves tells you all you need to know.

@Mbanda, what did I just read? Awolowo that was in prison, serving a jail term. He even wrote Ironsi about state pardon, but was ignored. Do you even read at all or you just eavesdrop on passing convos emanating from beer parlour politics?

And why would I believe the testimony of an unconscionably-driven character like IBB, whose stock in trade is lies?

It's well documented, and it can be inferred that the Igbos killed regional government, introduced bigotry into Nigeria politics, and set the stage for this disaster we are experiencing now.

Take your time to read this history without being emotional.

The bolded is your problem not mine. You don't believe IBB because he decided to set the records straight at last, by saying the truth and dismantling una age-long lies and propaganda against the Igbos. We all know that you would have believed IBB if he had lied against the Igbos the way most of you do.

Anyway, below is what some of the actors of the coup plotters wrote in their various books before IBB wrote his own book.
Between me and you now, who is actually the one consuming beer parlour politics?

The conflict has little or no correlation to tribal divisions. The two had a scuffle over money. Most probably, one party grew greedy, and the other is not having it. That's what the report says. But you seem to have issues with simple comprehension.

Must you involve Tinubu in all of your wailings?
