Of course they are not dullards. They did a rational calculation before coming up with this amount.

You see, the whole mentality is very typical of an average Nigerian citizen who is able to buy a car for millions but won't be able to tender vehicle particulars because he finds it 'expensive' to afford.

Just reread what you just typed amd ask urself if it made any sense.

First off, if most Nigerians had the resources, they'd opt for a second passport to ease their travel experience. The people who have the resources are already doing it.

Secondly, when the official price was around 30k, people would spend up to 70k to get it. Because if you choose to go through the official channel, you'll end up regretting.

Imagine what the amount would be now that the official price is 100k.

Minimumwage in Nigeria is 70k while our passport cost 200k.
In Europe Minimumwage is 2000 Euro and passport cost 67 euro. Meaning your salary is good enough to get you a passport.

These guys are thieves!

I renewed my passport in Europe at a fee of over 500 euros.
My passport was lost and i paid additional 200 euros.

Making 700 euros in total
