Most orders from Europe, UK and the US via post office usually comes through them.

They are the worst because most packages through them usually comes with hefty custom duty.

I remember a lady leaving her fairly used baby clothes package sent to her from the US, to the EMS, and it happened to come via EMS when she couldn't pay the exorbitant custom duty of around ₦170k. This was around 2016.

My cousin bought a Xiaomi phone then, Xiaomi Note 3 or something. The custom duty was half the cost of the phone. She refuses to pick it from the EMS. They sent it back. She got her refund and bought it again. This time it came through normal post via NIPOST. Speedaf not a thing then. This was around 2017.

The last time I picked anything from the EMS was a package from Europe, a kinda flashdrive. I paid duty, can't remember how much.

Luckily, I have no business with the EMS these days.

Just Speedaf and chill.

I swear EMS always put on ridiculous custom charges on any Package last time i receive a flash drive from France it comes via EMS and i have to pay for custom charges to make it worse it takes 3 months to reach here and na Paid shipping

Someone pls help me with custom and NIPOST email address to write my complaints to. My item has been in transit for over a month now. Does customs now take over a month to clear an item? Pls how best do I contact them for quicker response? Is there an official mail or tel number? I would appreciate any help pls, Thanks.

I have similar issues. My package has been with custom for more than 10;days now. The package is a steaming iron and the tracking number is

I already stated it... It has a NIPOST tracking number. My request was how to contact custom as shown in the tracking details that's it's stl awaiting their clearance.

I see no relevance in any of ur request pertaining how to contact custom/NIPOST. Even if u need more details, u could have asked instead of referring to me as 'novice', lyk u know everything and yet you are stl on this thread.

Unless you chose DHL, EMS, FedEx, or UPS shipping options when checking out, you will not be required to pay any duties. Usually there are no additional payment done to customs when shipping with Nipost and Speedaf. I have bought several mobile devices on AE without paying duties.

You can do two things:

1) Check with your nearest post office (sometimes tracking with NIPOST don't update in real time).

2) Have patience for it to change.
