With this statistics I suggest raw sex should be banned in South Africa.

I'm not sure the number of their populations but it's almost 8 million HIV people. I think they should declare state of emergency.

People in Africa have sex recklessly. Use condoms they refuse for wanting to feel skin -:feeling skin has nothing to do with reaching the place you are going.

My advice to young men: get Oraquick testing kit and keep in your house. Get at least 20 kits. They use saliva so no one can tell you they are afraid of needles. Test every one of them! Trust me you will be happy you did. The numbers of new cases of HIV in Nigerias is alarming! Never start any relationship with anybody without doing the test. If you mistakenly copulate with someone before testing them and they test positive after, rush to a good pharmacy and request for PEP (within minutes of the act). The PEP works for up to 3 days after the act but the only guaranteed period is within the first two hours of the act the earlier the better. Good luck and thank me later.

Oral quick test is not 100 percent guaranteed.....it cannot detect newly infected persons....its good but not a guarantee.


The surest way to avoid contracting HIV by sex is:

1.) abstain from sex
2.) if you must have sex outside wedlock, use a condom and make sure you wear it properly to avoid slipping off or tear during action, also avoid rough sex or dry sex....use lube if your partner can't get w e t to avoid condom tearing during action
3.) After sex, carefully wash your hands with soap before pulling off the condom from your pe ni s and also wash your hands immediately after you pull it off
4.) Don't engage in o ral se x, including kissing

Very wrong metrics to use considering our population being well over 200 million.

Percentage-wise, there are less than 1% of Nigerians living with HIV, compared to countries like South Africa where almost 15% of their population has HIV.

Lesotho: 26.2%
Botswana: 22.8%
Zimbabwe: 22.1%
South Africa: 14.4%

Nigeria has less than 1% and has one of the lowest HIV rates in Africa and this means HIV is not a generalized epidemic in Nigeria.

I am surprised they didn't add percentages (of the population) beside the raw numbers. At least that's what I expect TheCable to have done with the data to give it better context.
