I would realistically expect D’Tigress to win at least 3 of their 5 games, as the toughest ones would be vs Germany and France. Best case scenario, D’Tigress end the tournament with a 4-1 record😎

Good thing is we are not under pressure for qualification so the games are at best preparatory and maybe to boost our rankings. This is hoping that Rena will use this as an opportunity to give a few persons the chance to integrate into the team. I don't except to see Ogoke, Ejiofor, Macaulay and Ojenuwa. I'll rather have Iriafen, Onyewere and Okanawa in their place. Pretty sure a few other names will come up before the tourney next year.

Macaulay Victoria deserves her spot on D'tigress roster. She is a good player. Ejiofor should be given more minutes on the court. Ogoke should retire before the World Cup.

I agree with you on the need for the likes of Ojenuwa and Ejiofor to be given way more minutes than they got at the last Afrobasket. They both should play at least 3/4 of the games against Korea, Colombia, and the Philippines for us to properly see what they may offer at the World Cup.

D’Tigress 2026 FIBA WWC Qualifying tournament schedule is as follows:

March 11, 2026: Nigeria v. Colombia
March 12, 2026: Korea Rep v. Nigeria
March 14, 2026: Nigeria v. Philippines
March 15, 2026: France v. Nigeria
March 17, 2026: Nigeria v. Germany

I think it is time to put Nneka's chances of playing for Nigeria behind us. The issue is dead and buried. What we should be discussing now are the other US based or Europe based players available to us. Those ladies who have not suited up for the USA or any other country . If Iriafen is not willing to play for Nigeria, we should close the door on her and scout for other willing players.

Who is the best player in the female basketball domestic league in Nigeria? Or who are the top 5 female basketball players in Nigeria? They should be invited to D'tigress camp towards the World Cup qualifiers next year . Lets see what the five of them can offer Coach Rena and Nigeria.
