In Delta state almost every local government is habitable. There is nothing you will find in Asaba that you won't see in WARRI UGHELLI SAPELE OGHARA. AGBOR OZORO OLEH KWALE UBIAROKO UDU ABRAKA the list go on. U can't say the same to any other state in Nigeria aside lagos

If you mean the capital cities then Uyo is more peaceful than Calabar. I remember how rugged Calabar South was when we were still in the world

And later demolished because it is built on water way or lack of building approval.

By the time you go to the university campuses (Unical in particular), you will know that Cross Rivers is not peaceful. Confraternities hold sway! Fights extend to the city of Calabar.

I have never been to both states but from what I hear Cross rivers is more peaceful and a tourist destination.

The day I drove my car to Uyo, I wished I was living there. Uyo as the capital city is at the Centre, so many people go to work at Uyo daily from their villages.

The roads are clean spotless and massive everywhere you go. Well paved road with road signs everywhere with an unbelievable interconnectivity. No wonder Nigeria hosts most of their matches in Uyo stadium.

Cross river with its vast landmass (3x of Akwa Ibom) cannot be compared with Akwa Ibom in any way. The infrastructure in Akwa Ibom ranks shoulder to shoulder with Lagos, Rivers and close to Abuja (apart from all the national infrastructures).

In terms of security, we used to hear regularly of fights between Ebonyi State and some nearby local governments in Cross River... something about border and land, serious crises that displace people every time . Th same clashes happen between sister local governments in CRS too. Recently, we saw trending videos of herdsmen invasion in Bekwarra where people living outside were being asked to checkup on their relatives in Bekwarra LGA, Cross River State.

So to me, Akwa Ibom is still the safest and cleanest state in Nigeria. Its also the most serene. Their roads are fun to drive on. Their foods have levels too. I'm planning to start a business in that place, especially because of the centrality of their state Capitol with gives everyone equal access within 1 hour from any part of the state. No traffic, no street urchins. And the people are generally receptive of visitors.

The successive useless governments wants only Lagos to benefit from sea economy that's why they keep building new ports there and stifling other ports from functioning.


For me, Uyo in Akwaibom does it though my heart lies in Calabar, Cross River, a lovely, serene and hospitable place.

Very close call. But I'd choose Calabar over Uyo because it has a lower cost of living. But both cities are just something else. Cleanx very good roads. Serene and chill. So many young fine and nubile babes (tertiary institutions na water), and enough hospitality/fun spots without too much madness or violence.

If you have 2 billion in slush funds and want to retire to a life of peaceful debauchery in Nigeria, where everyday is a holiday, then there's no better place than Calabar or Uyo.

Very underrated places. No be that rubbish, overpriced, overrated Lagos way those people no go take let us hear word.

Tell your family members and clan to leave Lagos. Over population by them is killing the SW.

I will rather go for Cross River and my dear Edo State.

Before you scream Akwa Ibom, check the number deaths and property destructions resulting from the land disputes between Eket and Ibeno people. Let's not talk about that of indigenous people and Yoruba or Ijaw and natives.

On a serious note, Akwa Ibom is more beautiful than Edo, Bayelsa, and Ebonyi States but these three states are more peaceful than Akwa Ibom.

I've lived in both states and they're both good and peaceful. The only thing I detest as an IGBOMAN I am is their beliefs and conceptions that every IGBOMAN is a ritualist as kanayo O Kanayo portray in movies.

If you want peace of mind, kindly go to Cross river state.

Don't ever near Akwaibom. They're very toxic and leaches a lot.
Besides, Akwaibom is overhyped. I've lived in both places. Theft and all other bad things is an everyday thing in Akwaibom

There's peace and tranquility in Cross River. They respect and honour guests too. They're hsrf working too. Willing to learn and help their lives.

In short, if you want to enjoy a peaceful life kindly move to Cross River Calabar.

Go Unical Area, U go Testify

I have worked in both states briefly.

Both have clean environment and their roads are superb.

Hardly could find potholes, reminds me of serene environments abroad, only problem was electricity. With Solar, you are in heaven.

Better paying jobs than most states I must stay.

Far peaceful than most states.

Amazing, I must say.

A very close call, I have had the opportunity of spending some time in both states and it's so beautiful. Beautiful foods and beautiful women too. As a man, there's nothing appealing than a peaceful atmosphere and beautiful women. However, since I can't separate them, I will slightly pick Akwa-Ibom as the most peaceful state because they don't terrorise 404, in Akwa-Ibom, ekuke dey get peace of mind unlike in Cross River.
