Who to believe now?

Though the women statement lack any prove of how she escape or any originality to her statement. I even see it as skit when watched it.

But Nigeria Police has lost their trust from public, they always side who has money to spend. It is true, I don't expect police to confirm it to be true, owner of such will be powerful personality or wealth enough to buy the case.

Police intervention is making me believe the story maybe true

OK

some of this police officers will not stop to disappoint the masses,

manhunt her for what?

Instead of the police to do thorough investigation ,they are already claiming that the information is baseless ,

with all what is terribly accross the country

Things like this doesn't happen in thos part of the country. I have indeed heard stories of human meat being consumed in some part of the east . Anambra , abia and some part of cross river.

The Nigeria Police Force need to summon the woman for questioning. She should provide evidence. That's a very huge allegation!
But the Police took 3- weeks to See this or
- Three Weeks to hear this Since,
-so how did they approach this - for taking them long time- if they are are serious in Response rate?

Exactly. The handiwork of opponent or rival. They could go to any length to pull down their opponents.

It's a common sight amongst traders trading in same stock.
Re: Police Hunt Woman Over Viral Lagos Eatery Ritual Killings Claim by seborrhic: 9:35pm On Aug 29, 2025
I am in full, unadulterated support of the arrest and full prosecution of the woman.
That allegation in this age of SM can not only destroy that biz,but can cause severe emotional trauma and even suicidal tendencies on the owners.
If you own a business that depends on patronage especially in the food,Hospitality or Healthcare sectors, one single bad info can not only turn customers away but lead to stigmatization of the biz leading to its collapse.
If you borrowed money from a bank to run the biz, with this kind of devastating info this woman has falsely spread, patronage will drastically reduce, even if the info is later found to be false.By then you won't have been able to meet your bank repayment obligations and soon they come calling to seize your collateral and that's how people become emotionally and mentally deranged sometimes leading to suicide.
The woman should be used as an example.
People have a phone, snap pictures and post all sorts of false info on SM,next thing you would see on your WhatsApp or FB is "please repost these to all your family, friends and groups you belong to to save lives".

For anyone who cares to listen. There may be little truth i it cos the said person dis not hide her face when making the video.
What the police would have said is they will investigate jow true it is and after their findings if its not true THEN and and ONLY then they should look/hunt for the person
Re: Police Hunt Woman Over Viral Lagos Eatery Ritual Killings Claim by SamuelLoch: 10:10pm On Aug 29, 2025
I'll speak for two sides.

In this country, just know that there's no such thing as "whistle-blowing policy"
If you can't find a trustworthy police officer, or report to an activist like VDM or another person of such caliber, it may be best to seriously apply wisdom.

For the woman, she must have noticed something off and that's why she raised an alarm. It's possible that she exaggerated her claims, but a manhunt is a terrible way to handle this.

For the NPF, a call/invite for investigation is a better way to put it than a manhunt. There should have been routine checks to the restaurant by now. Maybe three female officers, dressed in mufti will go there at different times to patronize the place like regular people, use the toilets and just observe but I know they didn't do this. It's until someone dies or people die before they swing into proper action.

Recall the story of the OAU student that lodged in an hotel at Osun state... If there was a warning video, they would have ignored or penalized the young man because of who the owner of the hotel is, but imagine, the student died, and the public had to apply pressure before the NPF made their move.
Similarly, if the lady on the plane didn't have that scuffle and came online to report first, they would say she wants to tarnish the image of the airline company.

Acts like this discourages others from escalating to make the nation a better place. Like I said there's no whistle-blowing policy whether in the corporate industry or to government parastatals. Someone reported Wike's moves in secret and they are paying for what was done in secret o.

I'm not saying we should believe everything we see on social media, I'm saying similar to when we want to cross a road, look to your left and right and look again before you decide to cross the road.

Do you remember the ijapa meta and kposi kekere guy from some years ago? He didn't hide his face either. People make outlandish claims all the time. A typical claim people make is that they were there when someone's manhood disappeared yet there's never evidence to back it up.

With the way Nigerian police are looking for the woman, I suspect their could be an some element of truth in what she said, they should tell us who owns the eatery first.
Anything is very possible especially in that part of the country where ritual killings is very rampant and is like a culture.

She may be one of those bittered souls who is just interested at running down somebody business out of jealousy and hatred. She should be arrested and prosecuted.

Element of Truth? And you pray to have your business? And someone comes up with such a bad public image on you? Who do you think will still visit that restaurant after that viral video?

Did you read the Police release before typing this? Police said they have investigated and found nothing incriminating there.
I have been to that restaurant before, its a struggling business already and I'm sure this bad press will finally kill them.

Do you think she would just call the name of a random restaurant and destroy their name? I would be surprised if there might be no element of truth in what she said. How would police go and investigate and expect to meet anything if the lady was right?

Another angle is that the lady may be suffering from schizophrenia.

This woman don buy market ooooh. She has to substantiate her claims when finally caught or she will have a long period of time in the court rooms
This is like asking Women to provide evidence of a R@pe that happened Ten years ago and was not reported then.
Ofcourse, Women will say: Just believe what l say, dont ask for evidence.
If you're asking for evidence,, you are shaming the Victim be that!

What l dont understand, is how the Police has declared that the allegation is 'false' yet, they say they are still investigating the matter!
I thought the conclusion should come, after the Woman has been "invited" to provide more information and the Police themselves have done a thorough investigation?
Now, ASSUMING (in Capital Letters!) such thing was really happening in that place and the Woman blew the lid, do we, by any stretch of stewpidity, expect the thing to still continue in the same place, knowing that their cover has been blown?

Is it not common sense, that Criminals lie-low, when alarm blow and let everything quiet down?

If l were the Police, l will just pretend as if we did not hear anything but give it say, like One year.
Then we will send plain clothes Officers (women), dressed like JJC from America or London, looking vulnerable but with hidden body cameras, to go to the place and strange hours and then see what happens.

Honestly, Nigeria needs to train a new crop of well educated, intelligent and well-paid Officers that would be proud of their Uniform and wont see it as an avenue for collecting Bribe and perverting Justice.

I did not mention anybody's name o, nobody should start trying to arrest me or use tracking equipment to monitor my movement o. angry angry
