Things are really getting out of hand and we must start speaking up. In a viral video making rounds on social media, a road safety official was seen begging for his life and being humiliated while a notorious figure identified as Gentle Da Yahoo issued a strong and direct threat against the Nigerian government, the Eastern Security Network (ESN), and security operatives across the country.

I'm not going to say much about this video because everyone will watch it and hear him firsthand.
In the footage, Gentle is seen brandishing a sophisticated weapon while issuing warnings. He declared that only his group had the right to carry such arms within Biafra land. According to him, neither the Nigerian police, nor the army, nor even members of the ESN were permitted to wield such firepower in the region.

His words were chilling:

“If you are not unknown government, if you are not ESN, you are not allowed to carry this. If you are a police officer in this zoological country, you are not allowed to carry this in Biafra land.”

By this statement, Gentle openly mocked Nigerian authorities, describing the nation as a "zoological country," while positioning himself and his group as the only ones with control over certain weapons. The video, which has triggered wide debate online, is being interpreted as both a show of force and a declaration of defiance.

Security analysts warn that such bold threats highlight the growing challenge of armed groups in the South-East. Many Nigerians are now demanding urgent government action, fearing that Gentle and others like him could further destabilize already tense communities.

Whether or not the authorities will act swiftly remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: Gentle Da Yahoo’s message has added more fuel to Nigeria’s fragile security atmosphere.
