UK Residents Publish COS Scammers With Names & Photos On Public Banner by Glimpsetv(op): 4:23pm On Aug 30, 2025
A viral video has surfaced online showing a list of alleged Nigerian scammers published on a public banner in the UK, with both their names and photos attached.

According to reports, some Nigerians living in the UK printed the banner to create awareness and warn others about fraud. The banner also boldly carried the inscription: “Say No to UK COS Scam.”

In the video, several UK-based Nigerians can be seen reading out the names on the banner and announcing the amounts each individual allegedly scammed from others.

Among those mentioned was a couple, with claims that the wife is a Nollywood actress. The couple was accused of scamming people in the UK through COS, allegedly using the proceeds to open a restaurant in Nigeria. They were also accused of currently planning to flee to Canada. The public, including Nollywood, was urged to take note and be cautious.

The trending video has sparked widespread reactions online, especially on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Op, the least you could have done was explain the meaning of "COS".

You can't just assume every reader knows what that means.

This is a very shitty and drab reporting.

So many Nigerians already in the UK were also scammed, who you wan go report to?

After spending so much on Masters degree programs that offered little or no pathway to a skilled worker visa, they had to save or borrow huge sums to pay those scammers who hawked COS.

Some Nigerian pentecostal churches here in the UK are complicit, as on Sundays they allowed some of these COS scammers to come to places of worship to give talks about their "COS packages".
