Azazyel:It wasnt perfect but a scare nah! LFC, we gave everyone great value for their time fan or foe, not the Mancity walk in the park or Chelsea boring draw... Against Chelsea, sometime in Oct, we will both be alive God willing, we will grab that 3 point. |

FXtrader2025:Mount played as a false 9 and overloaded the midfield. It worked in that Man Utd had more possession and created more chances. Make no mistakes, none of ZakiAdze, Tesco or Hoodloom was getting past Gabriel and Saliba, and if you guys didn't overload your midfield, you would have been defending most of the game. Man Utd won the tactical battle, they just didn't win the game. |

Angelfrost:You understand football well. If arsenal play like this, they wouldn't even be in the top 5 at the end of the season. One of the luckiest wins I've ever seen. Man utd seemed quite improved compared to last season. |

FXtrader2025:No sir, scoring early and parking the bus is the surest way to end miserably. That Mourinho’s tactic is now obsolete and it’s what cost him the conference league years back. It also cost Tottenham the final played recently against PSG. Nowadays, you get too comfortable with a slight lead, you get punished severely for it. Liverpool were too complacent with their 2 goals lead and were almost punished for it. Good teams don’t stop attacking because of a silly lead. What they played against united today is definitely not going to work every time and it shows this very Arsenal squad and mentality aren’t special or feared. Imagine that hit-woodwork from Dorgu had entered? This mentality is not what’s been winning teams like City, Liverpool, Madrid, PSG and Barca their titles. Big teams don’t play like underdogs. Most times, you can only luckily win Bayern Munich but you are definitely not going to outplay them. What united played today is enough confidence booster for them and for any team that’s going to be taking on Arsenal henceforth because they were outclassed in every way. United were being unlucky today but at least, if you must get beaten, don’t get beaten as an underdog. |

AAA593:To start with, I'm a core Arsenal fan for over to 15yrs now since I was a kid. So I don't think your loyalty to the club can surpass mine. Arteta is one of the worst things that ever happened to Arsenal. I don't see this team making any significant impact this season. |
| Re: Manchester United Vs Arsenal (0 - 1) On 17th August 2025 by AkpaMgbor(m): 9:02am On Aug 18, 2025 |
drstranged:If you’re a core Arsenal fan like you claimed then you wouldn’t be saying this. I’ve been with Arsenal since 1997 because of Kanu. I’ve seen players come and go, seen change in tactics and stadium. There was a long spell when manU, Chelsea and most teams mocked us for playing beautiful football, for creating more chances, for holding the possession BUT never winning against our top rivals. They said we lacked spine and physicality. But now that we’ve learnt how to go to places like old trafford and scrap an ugly 3 points they still want to rain on our parade? No you’re not an objective Arsenal fan. We never even needed to get out of first gear after scoring because we knew manU posed no serious threat. They were the ones playing to make a statement on their home turf so it was expected that they will show more enthusiasm on the pitch. |

Malawian:U be better fan and read the game well, Mount had a nice game, he defended well against Saka, even those you said he should have started will have flopped. Gyokeres wasn't given breathing space, same will have happened to Sesko,Amad and co. Havertz wey came in late had nice game than Sesko and Gyokeres, because no much pressure on him. In fact I expect Arteta to start Havertz ahead of Gyokeres in the next game, after halftime then he should be brought in.... |
| Re: Manchester United Vs Arsenal (0 - 1) On 17th August 2025 by AAA593: 12:10pm On Aug 18, 2025 |
drstranged:First of all, you’re not really an Arsenal fan. Yes, Arteta hasn’t won a lot of trophies yet in his short time at the club, but he has transformed Arsenal into genuine title contenders. The team is also gradually becoming a real force in the Champions League. How can a true football fan judge a whole team based on just one game out of 38 in a season? They even won that match! You’re clearly not an Arsenal fan, and it seems like you can’t recognize or give credit to a good team when you see one. |

I buy the same idea with you...although mount played well delivering nice passes and crosses and was also marking very well...but maybe he would've played mount where casemiro is and he should've started the striker sesko for Christ sake...how can you play a crucial match of this nature without a striker when you have one that is fit...imagine those free crosses coming in and no one to take them. Then amad could be a better fit than dalot FXtrader2025: |

QuinModah:The question should be. Why would anyone be so naive as to write Arsenal off, based on an opening League game that they actually won? |
| Re: Manchester United Vs Arsenal (0 - 1) On 17th August 2025 by drstranged: 10:12pm On Aug 18, 2025 |
dominique:If Emery was allowed at Arsenal I strongly believe Arsenal would have been a force to reckon with. He played a moee positive kinda football and the team showed great promise but he wasn't given enough time |

drstranged:Which great promise did he show? 8th position in the league? Zero European qualification? Turned Arsenal to a club high profiled players were rejecting left, right and center. Atetea picked Arsenal up from a middle table club to back-to-back champions league qualification and very impressive runs in the league. I don't care about the 2md position trolling, back-to-back runner up position is not an easy feat in a very tough league like EPL. Biased officiating cost us the league in 2023/2024 season where we lost on goal difference. Referees admitted to wrong penalty calls against Arsenal twice! Another apologised for allowing a clear offside Brentford goal against Arsenal leading to a draw. Last season it was injuries. How many teams can have the kind of injury run Arsenal had last season and still finish as runner up? Arteta.may not have given us our desired titles but has upgraded the status of the club way higher than what he met in 2019, put some respect to his name abeg.. |

Which most football fans are you talking about? How did you arrive at that conclusion? Stop hating bro. Focus on your club Chelsea |
