wadijoo:Waduwé This is unnecessary worry but I will not blame you since you do not know how visionary the U.S government are. 1. Visas can be post-dated for future use . 2. The 3-months visa can be issued indefinitely until your first entry into America then it started to count. 4. The 3 months visa when expired can be easily renewed, etc. Allow the woman to get the visa first. 👍 |

We have tried resizing, changing passport and background it’s not working and it keeps throwing an error. Please help |

Desiré You are not doing it well and that page is likely corrupted (DS-160 is a security sensitive website). Go to a cyber cafe and ask the operator to resize the photo and upload it for you . It is not something you can get via abstract explanation. Or give it to a relative with a more computer navigational skill. Pls do not submit the ds-160 without the passport. 👍 |

Hi guys please I need help understanding something. I want to visit the US for the first time in February, 2026 for a friends event. I have what can be seen as good travel history. But I want to apply asap so I can get a notice from work and start preparing. Now that they've made visas 3 months, if I apply November 28, 2025, does it mean my legal stay expires Feb 28, 2026 even if I enter on Feb 20, 2026 or they start counting the 3 months from date of entry. Also anyone who has been given a visa since the rules changed, what does your I-94 say; 90 days or less? |
| Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by Efetobore1980(m): 6:22am On Aug 21, 2025 |
GlobeTrotter823:Hi. Firstly, let me start by helping you to change your old fallacy about travel history. Although, having traveled to few countries and returned without any crime record places you in a good profile for reputation only, and such reputation can be ie a rich man or woman who can afford travels and who is likely going to return and travel elsewhere again. Aside of the above accolade, U.S. visa success does not rely on travel history and proof of funds anymore. It is now relying on your genuine intentions, background checks both in Nigeria and anywhere, and your ability to communicate it via your visa application (Ds-160) and verbally to the visa officer. As per the 3- months visa. U S. embassy will be visionary about it because they will think all the visa application scenarios imaginable (like you are thinking right now) and decide the best ways to issue the visa without causing confusion. The visa can be issued indefinitely until you enter America before it starts counting. The visa might be renewable at the port of entry until after so and so year before you will have to go back and renew at the embassy, etc. I will suggest that you focus on securing the visa 1st, and don't rely on your good travel history 👍 |

To gurus and frequent contributors in the house.. How long does it take the embassy to respond to Emergency Interview request?. I made the request via the usvisaappt.com and its been over a week now, nothing has been heard so far and its for medical reason. |

A client was asked if she deliberately went to give birth in The US 20 something years ago and she did not hear the question properly and replied yes was refused a visa. If you went to give birth anytime in the US, expect irrelevant questions . I think the consultant officer was deliberately being silly. |
| Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by Efetobore1980(m): 7:25am On Aug 23, 2025 |
CutieKing:** A Medical Emergency Appointment request if done according to the rules should not take more than 48hrs to be approved or denied. Medical & Study emergency request get faster response but you must follow the rules. The major rule for your ER under medical is that a Nigerian hospital must refer you to a specialist in the U.S.A, and the specialist (U.S. Hospital) must accept to treat you and invite you over. In this respect, you need the Nigerian hospital letter and the US hospital invitation letter to apply for your ER. NOTE: If certainly you have followed the above guidelines and you are yet to receive approval or denial response, then that means there are lot of applications that is being put forward to the embassy. You are free to open a ticket or send an email to remind them. Alternatively, you may reapply again if the option is still in your dashboard. 👍 |

PeachtreeReside:** The consular officer was not deliberately being silly, but there was a prompt you did not know which made him or her to check your client's alien file. That file will be kept for 100 years on all entry and exit records. However, it is not something they do all the time except if the person has been criminally annotated. There is nothing wrong in giving birth in the U.S if you make the intention known in your visa application, pay all medical fees required, and tell the consular verbally (genuine intention). In that case. your B2 visa can be annotated for child birth in which you won't have any problem in the future. May be your client did not follow the rules & policies for childbirth. 👍 |

Efetobore1980:Please can you help me with WhatsApp date search group for b1b2 visa, I’ve been searching on my on with any good date. Please it is for my mum |
| Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by Efetobore1980(m): 9:40pm On Aug 24, 2025 |
Adakem:Ada. I don't know of any official date search group on Nairaland. However, there is nothing a date-searching group can do that you cannot do yourself. There is no magic anywhere other than keeping an eyes on your reschedule option and equipping your gadget with faster internet and frequenting your avits profile with caution. The last resort is to apply for an emergency appointment for your mum (if she qualifies). 👍 |

Has anyone here received a 3-month single-entry U.S. visa from the American Embassy in London (or elsewhere in the UK)? I understand that Nigerian nonimmigrant visa applicants now generally receive single-entry visas valid for only three months, according to the recent announcement in July. Just wondering if anyone has recently gone through the process in London (or another UK location) and what your experience was like. |

Adenike145:Unfortunately, I don't have any special tips or tricks to tell you. I was just checking the portal repeatedly to move the appointment date for my spouse and I. The only advise I can offer is to keep checking. I was lucky to be online when dates were available. |
