This actually has nothing to do with right wing policy. The Labour Party is not right wing but currently, tension is very high in the UK regarding immigration. There's been a lot of protest in recent days and more to come, by people clamouring for immigration to be controlled, especially illegal migrants who come to the UK by dinghy boats through France. UK is really struggling at the moment - there's high unemployment, low growth, housing is scarce, national infrastructures like NHS etc are overstretched, people are losing their jobs, the country is broke but the migrants coming in illegally by boats are being housed in hotels because by ECHR laws, the UK have to cater for them and these guys are in their tens of thousands.

If the Labour government don't draw up drastic measures to reduce immigration, they risk losing to a right wing party like Reform Party which has recently been gaining traction and popularity.

On a side note - If you think these Nigerian COS scammers are making money by selling COS (real or fake). Think again - The real guys making money from this system are the gangs operating on human trafficking model, collecting thousands of 💷💰 from each illegal migrants that get transported by boat to the South Coast of the UK. It's a huge business for them and they don't even live in the country.

I have no business with whatever you're saying about COS and the venting in your long write up. The policy was what I addressed, not even the Labour Party as a political party. A seeming left-wing party can come up with right-wing policies, that's for those who understand politics.

If you have any grievance, direct it to those involved in the COS scam, but this one isn't something that concerns Nigerians or Africans alone.

How many people have you seen pour 200k GBP to buy house at once? The fact that you can pay the deposit and show a statement to proof that you can afford the mortgage shows that you are doing well. At least doing well than those sharing apartment that can't even afford a common rent for 2 bed flat.

Relax brother, house warming is a nigeria thing. Don't take life too serious. Its just a way to chill with friends in the new apartment. I have just got my first house in Canada. If i pay for it for the next 35 years, its my choice. By the special grace of God, I will complete the payment. Besides, houses wey i get for Nigeria, tenants no gree pay rent so this Nigeria investment you are talking about isnt big as you think.

Na wha o. To think 25k in 2 years to save for you isnt surprising but to think no one can do that is beyond my comprehension. As a matter of fact, when I was in UK, I save 1k monthly in a separate account. Accumulation of that in 2years with what I have in my other account was more than 25k.

See, there are levels to this thing. Different people traveled abroad. Bankers, IT professionals, Doctors, jobless people, lowly paid people. Like I said, we are not thesame. The problem with some japa people is that once they get aboraod, they believe every black they see on the street belong to their class. 100k USD or GBP is less than 250m. I am worth more than that atm.

This is less about immigration and more about late-stage capitalism. And the UK probably feels it worse than a lot of developed countries because they've had conservative government for so long. Salaries are truly bad in the UK. And when you combine that with offshoring and bringing in immigrants to lower salaries... it's a mess.

Nigerians have nothing to do with this. It's the Indians. The UK has like 70M people. India has like 1.5B. Also, Indians think scamming and cheating is something to be proud of.

Extremely stingy. I asked my guy over there to make a payment on my behalf in dollar, the guy start calculating it exchange rate not to even lose one dime to me before he did the payment and said I had to make the exact payment to his naira account before he could make the payment on my behalf.
