The ball that hit Szoboslai on the hand was a penalty ! If it was an Arsenal player , it definitely would have been given.I was suprised that even the commentators disagreed it was a penalty when Szoboslai hand way clearly away from his body and not in a natural position.At least free kick goal was world class and there’s handly any goalkeeper in the world that can catch that except Onana 🤣 ofcourse.

Arteta system this season is to draw the big teams and beat others with high goal margin Incase it comes to goal difference to win the league at the end of the season. This, also, will not work.
You can win next season with that. The owners of the season is Liverpool FC. They have a team with winning mentally.

This idea of long containment with a view to a late surge is not championship mentality. Liverpool will not go to the Emirates to contain Arsenal. They will go there to attack them and score goals.

That is the difference between trophy winners and 'also rans'.

Arsenal should have had a stoppage time penalty but ofcourse the referee chose to look the other way as usual.Im sure if it was Gabriel or Saliba that the ball their hand like that when they were trying to head the ball that the referee will have blown for a penalty.

Eze is not a winger in my honest opinion for one simple reason, he does not have pace and hardly crosses the ball. Rather he is a classic 10 and played that very well at Palace. He is the only player in that squad that can unlock Gyokeres just as his many assists.for Mateta.

Just listened to Arteta post match and indeed from his words one can see that he just did not believe he could win at Anfield. In this league this simply means Liverpool will have to drop points elsewhere for his team to stand a chance.

Eze should have started. He is a proven ball carrier, is fit, in form and has just won something. Incidentally it was a Zubimendi mistake that led to that peach of a goal.

Even if he started them, he would still depend on cornerkicks to win the game. That's why they're called cornerkick FC. Has anyone won the league via cornerkicks? Wait till when they begin to face London clubs and see them draw games.

My take from the game

1) Arteta needs to tell us the exact football he wants to play against big side...they had more of the ball in the first half but couldn't do much cos the creativity was lacking in midfield

2) What was that kick and follow football I was seeing...I still find it funny wen arsenal fans say they play good football...did u see Liverpool and the quality they had in possession...

3) Seems Eze can't play on that left..mhe isn't good in one on one situations and oppositions will find it easy marking down

4) Arsenal still looks predictable and at a point I felt ..."asides loading the flanks to get balls into the opposition box....and getting many corners as a result of that.." what else can arsenal do well " when the opposition sits deep

5) It's obvious this arsenal is not there yet and it's al down to Arteta ...
