Rice taking corners from that side of the pitch is a waste of time. I was surprised that Arteta knowing fully well that his only way of creating chances was from corners kept allowing him to out-swing.

Ball playing strikers undermine the role of a striker which is to stay in your position and receive the ball to score. They are best placed as false nines and not ball playing forwards cos they are playing out of position most times and leave the number nine hole gaping

And like i opined, it was down to unavailability of our key defenders due to injuries and not because Cucurella was not good as you suggested that we should replace him that time.
