You're very correct, Lagos state is seriously overpopulated but which nobody can stop because it's part of Nigeria but the other states can help Lagos state in the population burden by at least with 5% if not 10% of their allocations.

Enough of this nonsense. Tinubu should enact a referendum to split the country into 5 or 6. We will agree to share the oil wealth for the next 15 years to give everyone time to build new capital cities if they chose, airports, seaports, road infrastructure etc. with the Niger delta getting the lion share. Everyone will get their president. We cannot continue in this toxic marriage arranged by the white man ( British) any longer. It's not working and it will never work. Let's divide and see how things go.

Why should lagos accommodate troublemakers who doesn't wish the state well? One of them shut down the bill to grant Lagos special status out of envy and they all supported.
The question is, if an hausa or yoruba man dare shut down a bill to develop Anambra or Enugu in the national Assembly how would there people react to the hausas and Yoruba population staying in their region? As i keep on saying, you will surely reap what you sow very soon

VAT is recorded on point of sale. Nigeria has no system of recording point of sale VAT deductions so it is false to say Lagos generates half of VAT in Nigeria.

Example: Someone will buy mtn recharge card in Aba, but the VAT will be credited to Lagos because MTN headquarters is in Lagos.

Reno Omokri should go for education. VAT is paid by the consumer, not by the company. The company is only acting as an agent to collect the VAT.

Its not only VAT. Lagos generates more than 35% of Nigeria’s GDP. Most of federal revenue apart from oil comes from Lagos. It is the commercial capital of Nigeria.
