It doesn’t work that way. Their workforce is too large for any significant increase. NPA generates more revenue than NUPRC and NCDMB, but those agencies pay better than NPA because they have far fewer staff.

Wait and see how FIRS will generate revenue in 2026. Take note revenue /staff ratio of other agencies before you conclude. You are not aware that all revenue will channel to NRS.

Yes, workforce matters but here, staff strength is not the reason. “Industry standard” is the most important factor. NUPRC, NCDMB etc …(O&G agencies) have their pay benchmark.

More than a week now,we have not get the true evidence of NPA recruitment... Anyways I heard just few days ago that the new board members sat and part of their discussion is the ongoing recruitment.Though last two months during retreat in P.H.The MD said his not convinced that the Authority is short of Staff ....I have high hope the exercise is on and may be our connection is not well connected to dig out more info...but reliably even the Minister of Blue economy candidate has not gotten their letter.
