Started giving birth to kids including me.
Throughout my 40 something years , I have never seen their wedding pic.

After few years of marriage , she got job with her primary school certificate receiving peanut.

I don't think you should approach your parents like this. It is best to approach them I love and respect. Yes personal development leads to a better tomorrow and in the course of life disappointments like the loan crsitors coming for shame or take belongings may look bad it is still a sort of success as no condition is permanent. There is still hope as long as there is life.....

At least thwy didnt use you as bait to bwg like govt does when they make the masses poor then beg the whites with out of school children.

It isn't that they do not understand, but rather that they reject all avenues that would require them putting in necessary effort, opting instead for magical shortcuts like the many prayer houses/juju rituals.

We are too emotional in this part of the world ! This man told the honest harsh truth . Many of the problems we have today is due to poor decision making skills . Many of our parents in the past made a lot of error due to emotional decisions taken and reality set in and they keep on hoping on some miracle . They gave birth to lot of children they didn’t need .

But look at today ?! People are now making more smart choices when it comes to raising a family , no one wants to keep encircling poverty . There needs a change of approach to the way we do things if we need to move away from poverty as families . We need to make smart choices , hold ourselves accountable and question every choices we are about to make and know the impact it will make in future .

People now have less kids like 2 in this time cause they realize to make them live a quality life and for they also to enjoy themselves they need to have less .

This young man has questioned the past so we don’t all get drenched in same circle of poverty .

I will only excuse a bit them then due to lack of access to information compared to now . But they didn’t do enough . And don’t even talk about me cause I’ve already done enough before kids started showing up .

So many people in today's world have been doing exactly that... refusing to make the same mistakes those before them made. And the journey begins with one very important step. And that is accepting the mistakes your parents made for what they are, mistakes which do not need to be brushed aside as anything less.

2. There are people out there who are going as far as not to have kids at all because they refuse to perpetuate the same horrors that were inflicted on them by planless parents. These are wise individuals... wiser than many of those parents Nigerians seek to have praised.

You are missing the point. OP is not dragging his mother alone, but also his father, who knew quite well that both he and his wife did not make enough to feed themselves with let alone adequately raise and train so many kids.

2. An Okada man who is a father and should have more time present raising his kids, too. He may have a wife, but children also benefit immensely from having their father physically present in their lives as well. That connection between a child and its father should not be measured only by how much money he was able to provide them. A father should be there to both nurture and teach his kids at the same time, all while making time to also work to provide for their kids. Such a man should probably have just one kid.

Claiming he understood the importance of education and so spent so much of his time working to make money to train his kids should not win the Father of the Year award by any means.
