Why do we celebrate nonsense in this part of the world.. bayalsa state has equivalent of oil Dubai has but compare both cities then U see we are behind civilization
This might not be an apt comparison because Bayelsa receives only a pittance from its oil, whereas Dubai was developed with oil money by the United Arab Emirates.

Yenagoa is more beautiful than Enugu which is a glorified village without water. Even after 80 years as capital Enugu is a dry place with very little economic activities except civil servants collecting bribes and salaries.
.
you wanted to say something but end up saying nothing, because a small street in independent layout,in Enugu,is wider than a major road in Yenagoa.Apart from Port Harcourt, there's no city that is close to Enugu in terms of beauty and development in the whole of south south/south east.

Some people, unless they're great pretenders and propagandists, do not know the meaning of "beautiful" in giving an accurate description.

Therefore, they should be forgiven for labelling a few ordinary pictures as "beautiful" when they're actually just plain.

When they see truly beautiful pictures of some cities, I'm sure they'll be dumbfounded not only because they can't believe their eyes but because they lack fine descriptive words to express their amazement.

Stop lying here.
Which part of Yenagoa do such happen?
You are a big liar.
If you know Yenagoa you'll not say his lying. One of the good things about that town is lack of traffic congestion.

As he stated, Ogbia Town, Anyama Ogbia, Otuasega, Otuagbagi and even Sagbama don't have light.

The Market Square you even listed is privately owned.

A lot needs to be done. Period 🩸

Forget capping, Yenagoa is backward and dilapidated for a state capital. What sort of state capital do people still, cook, bathe, from same river where they poo? Electricity is considered a luxury. The only economic hubs are GSM village Tombia, Ekeki park, and the biggest of all Swali market, not forgetting the new central park at Igbogene. Given the size of Yenagoa that place is suppose to look like a mini London. I was at Ogbia for a programme and I couldn't stay for a week, No electricity, water, a journey that shouldn't take up to an hour from Yenagoa to Ogbia will take almost 2 hours with joint pains everywhere no thanks to bad roads. The biggest construction the state government did in that state is the Berger fly over, and maybe the new central park. It is a shame I must say. Although I must say that one thing I love about Yenagoa, there is almost nothing like traffic if you avoid the Swali area, which I couldn't avoid due to the abundance of lobsters, prawn, and good river fish.
God bless you for this

Oga truth is bitter, besides who told you that I am from Ibo, for your unnecessary comparison. I am a Niger Delta man, so I know the in and out of Bayelsa State. I stand to be corrected please next time don't post this rubbish here, The 8 local government of less inhabitable places of swamps and Creek side should have made Yenagoa the small London of Nigeria but you see those your governor's and the one that is there now, need to answer questions to you guys the Citizens of your state.
Anyone who has a contrary common sense opinion against them is termed Igbo on this platform.
You either start becoming foolish like them or expect to be tagged a bitter Igbo person

I am a Nigerian first before Any other thing comes in place. The next thing I am waiting for is for someone to just post contrary about my own state that is backward I will unleash my anger on that person. The worst thing to ever happen to any society is to allow illiterate to rule over sane youths, and then give out handout as money to the sane youths to fight among st themselves. Nigeria shall be great but it depends on us the great youths of this lovely blessed Country, not this kleptomaniac elders we have as leaders.

I live here in Yenagoa and can tell you that info isn’t accurate. This picture shows the Tombia bridge and the canal at the side of the bridge. Mind you that bridge road leads to the airport

This is my state and I can categorically tell you that our state govt need to do better, the issue of electricity is very serious, imagine some places in this Yenagoa that haven’t seen light since last year, right now as I speak with you my parent house haven’t seen light for the past 3 days in a central area like Tombia. Telecom service is another big problem that should be addressed asap , imagine in this 2025 you can’t boast of a steady and reliable network, to open Nairaland takes forever to open, and it’s not just a particular network provider but all of them. We need to do better abeg, it’s very shameful

In Southern Ijaw LGA alone with 17 Wards in total and equivalent to the size of entire Lagos State in Area,
34 Communities are having 1 Ward and you expect developments to easily go round
The least number of wards in a LG in Anambra is 17. Stop making excuses for your governor's failure in doing the right thing.

Anambra that is Southern Ijaw LGA in Area is having 21 LGAs when whole Southern Ijaw LGA that is equivalent to all of Anambra is just 1 LGA.

State is a creation by population not landmass. If it's by landmass, Kogi State that is 3x bigger than the entire SE won't be having less LGA than Imo State. Even Anambra has same 21 LGAs as Kogi State. The whole Bayelsa is surrounded by water bodies hence the 8 LGAs. Even Zamfara as big as it is has just 14 LGA. Hope I was able to educate you ??

Yenegoa is much more beautiful with huge economic activities than all the five South East states combined.

Bayelsa may have just i LGAs but the question is

Do people know how many communities that share one ward or constituency.

For a massive development to happen in Bayelsa, the state govt should create more LGAs, create more wards, create more constituency. And senatorial District.

No senator in Bayelsa can serve a second term.

This is how the get development to go round.
See the truth.
Development are not brought only by the government.
The private sector contribute more to development than the government.
For example, in East, it's those Igbo guys that sells building materials, spare parts, electronics, etc that builds the Igbo villages and towns.
The government only constructs roads and erects electric poles in most cases.
But, most Bayelsans are not involved in trades/commerce.
They are only interested in civil service and politics.
But, didn't realize that diversification is the key to economic prosperity.
Actually, development happens if citizens are engaged meaningfully in all the Sectors of the economy.
Sectors: Farming, artisan, manufacturing, construction, commerce, service, entertainment, etc.

Just like you and your people in other States in Nigeria.
It is really funny. You draw people's attention to the fact that they are not getting quality representation and they attack you and call you jealous.
My guy the truth is bitter. What they are telling you is that the money that has come into bayelsa state from it's Inception is not equal or commensurate to the development on ground. Your leaders are not doing enough. What is jealousy in someone telling you the obvious truth? It is really ludicrous!
It's only in Nigeria majorly, i see people attacking people who tell them the truth.
If you attack my position, it means only one thing - you are a paid hack sent to do a yo-mans job

Bayelsa is surrounded by water bodies. You create political wards based on viable population within an area not scanty land and vast water body like river or ocean. You are not complaining about Kano with 44 LGAs but ur d!ck is rising for Anambra paltry 21 LGAs. Nonsense.
