The only difference this time is that the same thing has continued and has become more or less a government policy under a so-called non-kinetic strategy under the Tinubu administration, making this APC government enablers of terrorism in Nigeria. I’m not a fan of El-Rufai, however, we can’t take away the fact that he’s blunt and has said he has evidence to prove his assertion

In an earlier thread, I said that he doesn't have any right to castigate the evil of paying, releasing or forceful reintegration of bandits into the society. Buhari, in conjunction with him, Masari and some other northern politicians patronized these bandits. He is just a pained man.
That said, this banditry is a cash cow for heartless politicians

Na people weh deh interview this man deh make him think say he has electoral value. I like the way his wings and feathers were made useless. You had good eight years to resolve security issue in your state but you prefer to look the other way and several innocent lives were wasted especially in southern Kaduna. How come peace returned to same state immediately you left office. You can only fool the gullible ones and not the sane ones. People like you should not be allowed to near seat of power anymore because you cannot be trusted with power again.

If he pays them thinking that that strategy works if then the Federal Government is marking the same mistake won't him speak. That is why he said that is not a solution to the problem but a temporary solution.

I am not a fan of El-Rufai but what he was saying was that he paid headsmen who lost cattle in a crisis in Kaduna. El-Rufai never claimed to have paid bandits El-Rufai compensated both Christians and Muslims in that conflict

Story for the gods. El Rufai said it in 2015. He was part of the people that brought insecurity to threaten Jonathan and he didn't deny it. Even late Buhari knew about it and he didn't hide it when he threatened and intimidated Jonathan then. I watched him yesterday and I was just laughing at the short man devil.

The were committing all manners of crimes, from kidnapping, armed robbery, pipeline vandalism..........e.t.c, e.t.c while this was happening, the North never had what is being experienced as banditry or Boko Haram.

The Federal Government ended up sitting on a round table with the Niger Delta militant groups and today we can see all see.

At what cost to the country? While we can argue about the economic benefits of the amnesty program, why should we sit down to negotiate another amnesty with Islamic separatist and criminal bandits? Why waste trillions on such a program? What’s the gain for the country?

Mrs Olakunrin died of gunshot wounds in July 2019 after her vehicle was attacked by armed men, suspected to be marauding Fulani bandits whose violent activities had reached a frightening level across the southwest states.

Tambaya has been declared wanted by the police and he is said to be capable of communicating in Hausa, Fulfude and Pidgin English.

It would have been okay if he had admitted that he paid bandits during his term as Gov but that he didn't achieve the aim of reducing insecurity.
