Very good. That's the best thing that can happen to her and her generation. One of Nigerias problem is that too many incompetent people are being placed in sensitive positions. There are a lot of intelligent and talented individuals in this Nation but they're suppressed by a lot of unnecessary factors, that's why when abroad they shine like diamonds.. |

I wish her success in her new home or nationality as it concerns her hustle. Some countries are not worth dying for right now and Nigeria is top on the list for me due to bad leadership. |

She took the right step. Nigeria is not worth dying for. Big lessons from Peter Rufai's demise and matters arising thereof. |

femi4:Did Nigeria not fail her?? It's far much better for turkey to use and dump her than labouring in vain for your useless country of birth. |
| Re: Favour Ofili Confirms Switch To Turkey by wellmax(m): 7:15am On Sep 02, 2025 |
Her choice. But Turkey will always see her as a means to an end and she will be considered 2nd class and NEVER Turkish. |

femi4:Turkey uses her vs Nigeria uses her. Where will she be rewarded more which is what matters for her career? |
| Re: Favour Ofili Confirms Switch To Turkey by Brendaniel: 7:22am On Sep 02, 2025 |
Later some people will be asking why Simon Ekpa turned from a Nigerian patriot to a Nigerian hater, well this is one of the reason.... |

I don’t blame her. She chooses what is best for her. That’s a big slap on our face I must say |

femi4:Time will tell after she get well paid and retire. We need competent people handling our sport not connection driven appointees |
| Re: Favour Ofili Confirms Switch To Turkey by Brendaniel: 7:24am On Sep 02, 2025 |
wellmax:As long as they treat her better than Nigeria, why do people run away from Nogeria? |

If Nigeria has never happens to you, you will be by the corner singing on your mandate we stand. If Nigeria has never happened to you, you will be like Nigeria is the best thing after slice bread 🍞. Truth be said, this country is structured not to make progress... |
| Re: Favour Ofili Confirms Switch To Turkey by Hespee93: 7:32am On Sep 02, 2025 |
The hate for Nigeria has revealed how dump many are. She wasn’t included in a selection because there are other better options ahead of her. Is it the first time a country will dump her athletes due to the fact that there are more better options ahead? |
| Re: Favour Ofili Confirms Switch To Turkey by lexy2014: 7:32am On Sep 02, 2025 |
HarunaWest:I do not think its that easy for footballers. Imagine a Nigerian player saying he wants to switch to Turkey. How can it work when turkey has a thriving league with so many good players at home and abroad? For athletics, its much more easier cos not many countries have good athletes |

| Re: Favour Ofili Confirms Switch To Turkey by lexy2014: 7:34am On Sep 02, 2025 |
Hespee93:How can many be "dump"? Is it the same "dump" when you said "Is it the first time a country will dump her"? |
| Re: Favour Ofili Confirms Switch To Turkey by ARISHEM: 7:35am On Sep 02, 2025 |
femi4:Nigeria too use her and dump her 2 times na. After using her they dump her out of Tokyo and Paris. They removed the Nigerian spirit from her. After they were done the AFN were saying she was a difficult athlete because they tried hard to make her understand the situation |
| Re: Favour Ofili Confirms Switch To Turkey by shox: 7:37am On Sep 02, 2025 |

Eraddray:Same way there is a difference between love and hate... you guys don't seem to understand the damage you people have done to Nigeria and still doing because of ethnic supremacy... |

Good luck to her. To complete seun's 40 characters, At least she can now enjoy a full plate of turkey. |
| Re: Favour Ofili Confirms Switch To Turkey by nairalanda1(m): 7:43am On Sep 02, 2025 |
She switched because turkey offered her far more money than Nigeria could offer her even if we had a well run athletics programme I've seen the report of the money they are gonna pay her. It's far more than what any sports minister in Nigeria can pay athletes Turkey too has issues ( corruption , nepotism etc) and the fact they are recruiting foreign athletes means they are failing in bringing up homegrown athletes. Na disgrace. Our country is a mess , i know, but can the NSC offer every athlete 24000 dollars monthly to represent us? Assuming no corruption and poor management? On top of a budget that barely covers salaries and overheads? Alozie ran for Spain because Spain offered her 12 times what Nigeria offered her. Ditto obikwelu for Portugal That's why we have to accept that our leaders , including the ones you like, haven't made Nigeria the kind of country where we would produce enough to do a budget of 100 trillion naira per annum. Including this one run by tinubu. Because doing so means hardship and difficulty at first.Instead na to do palliatives and throw money around and loot |
