Every part of the world has citizens of other countries. there are millions of Nigerians in UK and US. Same way they are hundreds of thousands of Lebanese in Nigeria and Millions of Indians in UK. Did anyone of them complain to you about being seconf class citizen?

I've seen the report of the money they are gonna pay her. It's far more than what any sports minister in Nigeria can pay athletes

Turkey too has issues ( corruption , nepotism etc) and the fact they are recruiting foreign athletes means they are failing in bringing up homegrown athletes. Na disgrace.

Our country is a mess , i know, but can the NSC offer every athlete 24000 dollars monthly to represent us? Assuming no corruption and poor management? On top of a budget that barely covers salaries and overheads?

And in Nigeria, some certain tribe in the south openly calls her people third class citizens. Also in that same country she was representing regardless of the hostile behavior of a certain southern tribe against her and her people, she was also left behind probably due to corruption.

So there's nothing bad she will see in turkyie that she has not experienced double of in Nigeria.

The best part of her decision to join Turkey is that when she retires, the Turkish federation will take care of her until she's 120 years old.

2. However, competition for spots in those countries is very stiff. A lot of athletes get left out, so many of them choose their mother land so that they can do international athletes.

3. IN essence, these are not the best athletes those countires have to offer. We are getting the leftovers (though who is to say that leftovers can't do well, the whole sports ecosystem is too competitive, that a No 190 in tennis can beat the world no 1, for example. Same in athletics.)
