Is the tracking number a NIPOST tracking number?

2) Have patience for it to change.

I think you can negotiate it down, but 100k on a $154 purchase is just ridiculous.

That is what I though, I read that the custom duty for phones is ~30% of their value.

Again negotiate. I know someone who recently got a tablet double the value of this and was asked to pay 100k too. Finally paid 50k after negotiating.

Likely Nipost, they could charge you 1k to 2k base on weight, if EMS you'll be paying up to 50k

Go to this site to calculate the duty. https://www.smepayroll.com.ng/calculator/importduty/. It's around 52k based on your screenshot data.

I think my package with Speedaf is lost. Last update was 9 days ago. Usually it doesn't stay more than 2 days at DC-LOS.

It will not be possible for a bank to stop the issuance of naira cards.
but I was using their mastercard before it expired

Grey jus decided to disable NGN accounts... that they have moved to a new provider.. asking me to click and get a new NGN account. I don click tire they have refused to issue a new NGN account 😪

Man's jus stranded for how many days.. na to move on sure pass 😒

Please I sent some funds from my opay account to a friend's chipper account so I can use his card to make some transactions on AliExpress since Friday morning.
The money successfully left my opay account but it's yet to reflect on the chipper account.
It's been 2 days already and customer care isn't responding to messages.

Were you an able to negotiate a fairer amount? If yes, how much did you eventually pay? What difficulties if any did you encounter?

my card had expired, so try the verve, it should work because they issue fx advise everyday on their naira cards

Speedaf seems to be having issues in Anambra State, got multiple messages about my package but the numbers attached have been off since Friday the 29th of August..numbers on the website not working, whatsapp is a bot.
...i have trying to contact them to no avail, can anyone help

Yesterday, Monday morning, I went to the post office, furious and ready to pay the ₦166,000 customs duty I had been told to pay on my phone worth ₦235,000. When I spoke with the staff, they were also surprised at the high charge. After some investigation, we discovered that the phone had been wrongly valued at ₦800,000.

After a lot of back-and-forth and consultations with the staff, we proceeded to the regional manager’s office. She made calls to Lagos and appealed the duty charges on my behalf. She assured me she would call me back the next day.

Today, she kept her word and informed me that the charges had been reviewed and reduced to ₦55,000. I paid the corrected duty, collected my phone, and even gave the staff something for their pocket as appreciation.

I was also instructed to write a letter to the General Manager of NIPOST regarding the incident.
