After reading through comments section regarding the thread of the OP who takes care of his girlfriend in this harsh economy... He among others listed was covering her on a rather cheap health insurance.. In the comments, many wanted to know how he does that... It appears many do not know that the cheapest way to medically take care of one's self is to have a health insurance policy... What is a health insurance policy..? This is a binding contract between you who buys this policy and the state medical board that whenever illnesses listed on your contract appears to hit u, u are thereby free to visit any of the state health board listed medical center to get treated with a specified arrangements... What are the different types of packages..? There are the simplest package: this one entails usually general common illnesses, like fever, malaria, thypiod, cold, catarrh, cough, etc.. those common sickennessess we usually ask the pharmacist to help out... They will be listed in your contract Are there other packages..? Yes, there is. They have packages which over all the fist listed pancakes and yet more, like cost of child delivery, cost of CS operations for child delivery, covers appendix operations, covers minor operations.. There are still other packages which covers even more complex operations... Are they all same cost of insurance contract..? No, they are not.. like u suspected, the simplest form of it are usually the cheapest and damages from 12k to 15k. The next stage increases as the case may be.. but trust me . It's usually far far far cheaper than coming to the hospital in the event of illness to seek medical assistant... Where can one find this health insurance cover..? It is everywhere, there is that by the federal government, called NHIS, and numerous others by state governments named different names... Must it be only with the government hospitals..? No, you can be contracted at any hospital closest to you. All you need do is walk into your nearest hospital and ask of the insurance policies of either the federal government and state governments alike... How long does the contract last..? It is usually for one year, one time. Payment, so u can imagine payment just 12k for one year, and getting the hospital to treat you for free all round the year.. What if I relocated out of that state..? No problems still, but if you know u have a high probability of relocation, then it is best advices you take on insurance of the federal government which is the only one which can cover you accross states.. Does my insurance cover my entire family..? No, but in some cases parents cover also covers for children within certain ages .. it depends on the state and it's program... Conclusion! It is a life safer for health expenses, plz try and register |
