This sterling is stubborn. Instead of running to saudi to collect oil money, he is looking for one London club to sign him |

airmark:You’re quoting my take which supports the recruitment of a good support cast and not NECESSARILY a traditional No9. Is it that you don’t realize when you’re shooting yourself on the foot this old man? Where have the board channeled most of their budgets and time into? Who is the marquee big 9 they got as you’ve been phoolishly demanding for? The club’s plan was to upgrade what seems to be an ineffective attacking band. Jettison the deadwoods and get onboard exciting creative talents, a bidding myself and few knowledgeable others made last season, while you were busy being delusional and heaping blames on Jackson. The club can’t be delusional like you to believe that prime Zlatan Ibrahimovic or Ronaldo De Lima will tick in this team playing alongside Sancho, Madueke etc. |

Judging the various teams in the just concluded summer transfer market, I think Liverpool did outstandingly in the window. They got good players that they actually need to boost their team and maintain stability and they are favourites to retain the title. Arsenal on the other hand, did the most in the market. They actually bought players that they were in dire need of and for the first time, has a better chance of winning the title due to the perfect signings they made. Manchester city will always be Manchester city but I feel they bought players that are personally good but not collectively known as regards teamwork. They bought players that don't necessarily fit their system if you look at the clubs these players were signed from. For a very long time, we haven't seen Man city being so clueless in games. My beloved Chelsea is still growing, did very well in the transfer market and considering the PSR, they needed to balance the books and which they did very well and tried to get the necessary players that they actually need to boost their squad. They look young but ready to go judging from recent final performances. Tottenham Hotspurs surprised me the most in the market, they were fearless and did marvellously. After Arsenal, I think they are the team that did very well in the market and I expect lots of surprises from them this season. Judging from antecedents in the last five years in the title race, I think it will start from a 3 horse race and narrow down to two. Liverpool obviously defending champions and Arsenal alongside Chelsea will go pound for pound in the race. Man city and Tottenham will be deciders on where the pendulum will swing to. |

Na them be this. When we dey argue attack vs defence, you said our attack was better even with Jakujaku Jackson. That the defenders were the problem. Later when we didn't revamp the defence as you had wanted you ran to hide under support cast, just to shield your Jakujaku Jackson. You opined that all should be about support cast changed. During attack vs defence argument: Griffon:Now, apart from Tosin who replaced Thiago Silva as I wanted, which defender did we add before we became World Champion? Tell me if replacing your jakujaku Jackson wasn't one of the major reasons we became the World champions. Una no dey shame. ![]() |
