Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by oneeast:
You just sit here to embarrass yourself.

1. It is a fact that Enugu has no water and everyone knows this fact. Typhoid is a major issue in Enugu. Enugu has the topography of Sahara desert.

2. Educationally, Anambra is by far more advanced than Enugu state. Anambra has far better schools and school infrastructures than Enugu state. Anambra also does far better than Enugu state in educational exploits. Enugu state is among the least educationally backward states in Nigeria.

3. Healthcare is a mess in Enugu. Can you compare the messed up parklane which is the state university teaching Enugu to Anambra state university teaching hospital Awka? Do you know additions that Soludo has made there including building brand new trauma center?

4. Water is a major challenge in Enugu. Anambra has both public and private water supply. Challenge of Enugu water issue is the laterite soil and inability of the government to find a lasting solution to it. Today Enugu residents are drinking muddy water. Mbah is failed to fulfill his campaign promise to the people.

Unbiased1:
Now you are getting somewhere. I want to hear facts not the usual vague talk.

1) You mentioned people are dying of typhoid fever in Enugu. Kindly tell me the state in Nigeria where people don't die of typhoid fever, and while you are at it, kindly show me a report that states that there is a typhoid pandemic in Enugu that is worse than what is happening in other states in Nigeria.

2) You mentioned education. Just as Soludo introduced free education in Primary and Secondary schools in Anambra, same policy was introduced in Enugu, so no difference. In addition to the free education, the Enugu state government is constructing 260 new schools, 1 in each ward, in Enugu. Some of the schools have been completed and will be opening for studies this September. You can go and verify (in Peter Obi's voice). The largest technical college in Enugu has also been fully renovated with new structures and facilities which beats anything we have seen in Nigeria as a whole. Enugu has also employed 11,000 (out of a target of 15,000) new teachers who will teach in these new schools. In comparison, Soludo only employed 5000 new teachers. Go and verify.

3) You mentioned health. We all know that Enugu has not been too good in health which was the fault of previous administrations not the current Mbah administration. Within 2 years, the Mbah administration has started his project of constructing 260 new primary healthcare centers, 1 in each ward, across Enugu to bring healthcare access closer to the people. Some of these primary healthcare centers have been completed and others are currently under construction. While the 260 hospitals are type-2 primary healthcare centers, there are also 9 type-3 primary healthcare centers ongoing, 22 secondary healthcare centers plus an additional 300-bed international hospital at Rangers Avenue that is already 50% complete.

4) Water crisis. This is still a major issue as the Enugu state government has not resolved this, but in comparison, can you list out the neighborhoods in Anambra that currently receive pipe borne water from the government. Can you swear that you get pipe borne water in your house in Onitsha? The same Onitsha were residents living upstairs suffer to fetch water with buckets from a neighbour's private borehole to their homes upstairs. Just as Enugu lacks pipe borne water, so does Anambra also lack pipe borne water across various parts of the state. If Anambra distributes water to every city center, kindly counter what I've just written, but if not, kindly hide your face in shame for criticising another state for the same issue taking place in your state.

Unbiased1:
This is my issue with some of you. You guys make vague statements devoid of facts. I was expecting you to mention what Soludo has achieved that is greater than what is currently obtainable in Enugu, but you mentioned none. You didn't even fact-check my points or make credible comparisons, just the usual "keep deceiving yourself" line that proofs nothing. Waste of argument.
It's either you can not read or you don't understand when you read. When I said a technocrat who has achieved more with less... I mean Anambra state under Soludo led administration has not borrowed a dime nor collect any form of bill out fund; while the like of Peter Mba led Enugu state is topping the chat in borrowing and Nigeria most indebted state.

When I say Soludo has done much... (a)I mean he has successfully built Anambra 4th mega city with modern infrastructures while Enugu state is still battling with just on city (the capital).
(b) Just like Lagos, Anambra which is south east most urbanized state has/is successfully connecting all the 3senatorial district and cities with dual carriage road under Soludo's administration.

Anambra is leading in health and Education, even Mba has accept his fate that Soludo is ahead of him in these sectors yet Soludo is still firing from all cylinder, building primary health center and general hospital in every nook and cranny of the state. I saw where you challenged someone to show u pipe-borne water done by ANSG. Go to MCC junction, inland town Onitsha and thank me later. This is just few out of many done by ANSG/Anambra state water cooperation across the state.

Should I take you to rural development? That will be a suicide mission for you and your Enugu governor if I decide to drag you to that direction.

These wawa people sef. You talking about ICC, please tell us how many decades that tiny Enugu auditorium was abandoned before it was eventually completed after the huge borrowing by your incompetent governor Mbah?

Awka ICC is not just the biggest but also the most beautiful in SE, it was completed within the administration of Obiano and was put to use. You are talking trash about the landscaping as if you don’t know that the ICC hotel is ongoing at the same site.

You can’t compare the nonsense tiny auditorium in Enugu to the ICC in Awka. You people are the ones that should start telling your incompetent Mbah the truth. He borrowed billions to finance purchase of refurbished old aeroplanes but you wawa people and your gullibility didn’t see anything wrong with it.

All you wawa people do it to envy Anambra and wish we don’t build the right infrastructures so that you people can take advantage. But we keep failing you people by electing good leaders that keep putting the right infrastructures on ground. We saw how you people attacked Anambra international airport when it was under construction. You guys didn’t bother about Ebonyi having airport because you guys knows that it won’t make any difference.

Anambra shall keep growing and developing as the most developed Igbo state.
I have see this incessant outpouring of invective towards our government and population and we must match them madness for madness, and stop trying to be overly politically correct. These people despise us and wish we can regress. They undermine every project Soludo built and praise Mba to high heavens for doing very little. We need to be aggressive with these people

Instead of showing the same three streets in Awka the government should make a concerted effort to pave at least 80% of Awka. This is not difficult to do since the urban core of Awka is comprised of streets less than 300m in length.

They should focus on the villages of Umudioka that connects to Zik Ave, Emma Nnaemeka, Ichide, Onwurah Streets. Amikwo village that connects to Dike, Obunagu, Works Rd and Court Rd streets. Amudo village with streets that connects to Amudo, Zik Ave, Amudo Streets and Ifite village where there needs to be multiple exit and entry roads to take pressure off the narrow Ifite Road. For example the road leading to new Government house should extend all the way to ifite and maintain its width.

Be honest and show the dirt roads your principal has failed to tar which is 95% of Awka. No need for propaganda.
Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by oneeast: 1:55pm On Aug 30, 2025
Who is doing propaganda with you? Awka is a beautiful clean city and it is evident in the pictures and most of the roads are tarred while others are being tarred, same with Onitsha, Nnewi and now Ekwulobia that has been turned into a city. Anambra is leading all the states in southeast as the most developed state in the region.

IF U ARE GOING TO BARRICADE A RESIDENTIAL AREA, ENDEAVOUR TO LINE THE FRONT OF THE BARRICADE WITH TREES.

OTHERWISE THE WHOLE PLACE STARTS TO LOOK LIKE A PRISON AND I'M SURE THAT IS NOT THE LOOK SOLUDO IS TRYING TO CREATE.

Roads in Anambra are cleaner than the roads in imo state. Almost all the roads in imo state are like muddy dirty poultry farm. Imo has no ministry of work and no ministry of environment. Uzodimma has failed imo state

Barricading peoples home in order to shield whatever is happening in the state house seems a wee bit arrogant to me and absolutely rude to the innocent residents of that axis of Awka! Granted that there are not many if any residential buildings near the white house in DC.......stll all the adjoining streets are always open to human and vehicular traffic most of the time.........it is the more strategic pennsylvania Avenue that has parts of the road closed permanently to traffic! People pay good money to visit the white house as tourists, so what is the big deal!

We Africans tend to overdo some times........this being one of the rare moves of the governor that I vehemently dislike! I am sure one busybody aide or adviser sold him the greek gift in the name of advise! Anyway that one is a minor issue...........what I want to know is what is going on with the Awka 2.0 project?

The last pic is Yenagoa. Anambra and indeed most of our south-east states don't value greenery to that extent! The last time a concerted effort was made at greening up our environment was done during the time of the colonial gov't and Dr MI Okpara!

ALSO ALL THE HOUSES WITH ENTRANCE/EXIT INTO THAT ROAD SHOULD BE BOUGHT GRADUALLY BY THE GOVERNMENT AND DEVELOPED FOR STATE WORKERS WITH ID.

ALL THE LAND ALSO BOUGHT ON THIS ROAD LEADING TO GOVERNMENT HOUSE AND THE OTHER IN FRONT OF THE GOVERNMENT HOUSE.

START THE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT FROM THERE OUT, I.E. ENUGU STYLE CONFRENCE CENTRE NEXT TO ANAMBRA OUTDOOR SQUARE. ETC

LINE UP STRUCTURES ALONG THE ROAD OUT TO THE FLYOVER.

THAT PLACE SHOULD BE UNDER FULL GOVERNMENT CONTROL WITH HEAVY SECURITY IN AND OUT.

BRICADE IS A TEMPORARY SOLUTION, WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE IS DEVELOPMENT AND RISING OF MEDIUM HEIGHT STRUCTURES LIKE THE FEDERAL SECRETARIAT. ETC ALL LINED UP ALONG THAT ROAD.
