My neighbor that want to get married soon met me for advice base on the items on the list and other activities that will follow during his marriage ceremony.

One question he asked that i couldn't give him an answer is this, 'transportation of the bride's family to the wedding reception, who will foot the bill" i told him to wait for me that i want to do some consultations.

Please fellow nairalander, help him out.

The bride, her parents and siblings should sort that out. But if she is not financially capable, he can step-in.

In my tribe, they groom's side of the family is the one responsible for the transportation.

If transportation as cheap as it appears is still being apportioned as the groom's liability, then i doubt the bride family would make any support towards the wedding. There is a place of culture, and there is also a place of mutual understanding

...it depends on the arrangement that was made between the man and his bride. He should not have to ask you this question, but instead work it out with his bride.

Maybe there's a cultural attachment to it.

Because where I come from traditionally it's the wife's family that hosts all the ceremonies both trad or white so naturally this discussion of who transports them to the reception venue can never come up.


It's possible the wedding is happening in the man's area/church that's the only reason why I think this may come up or maybe it's an interstate or intercountry travel.

that the bride case e no concern you except you jus wan help

This one go make the groom see the girl and her family finish, in future he could even use it to insult the girl when the are having serious quarrel.
