Good evening everyone, please I need your help Can I submit a 3 months bank statement alongside a 4 month dollar MF bank statement So the issue is that, I used most of my money for a farm investment earlier in year and the return came back in June which I’m not sure if I’ll be able to prove it as it’s a friends farm that I invest in and he returns my capital and interest as agreed. I do not have any documents to back this up So my initial plan was to print my Naira statement for 3 months, which starts right after the lump sum came and then submit the mutual fund for 4 months But I saw on the new IRCC portal that 4 months bank statement should be submitted and I’m confused as to how to go about this Please I’ll like suggestions on how to go about this |

mhoreh:you need to provided minimum 4 months, I must tell you to submit the 3 months and explain in letter but your chance will be low if the VO don’t believe you about that |

mhoreh:I will advise you to wait for the four months if the mutual fund doesn't have enough funds to satisfy the sufficient amount required. It is better to do it well and be approved than to gamble and be denied. |

Do i wait for IRCC to email me and request for me to go and book appointment for biometrics or i head to vfs website immediately to book an appointment for biometrics? And if i need to wait for them to request, how long does this take? Thank you. |

Canada launched an immigration pilot program that lets qualified international students apply for Permanent Residence right after finishing school, no years of waiting required. Looks like they're no longer giving visas up to the length of your passport expiry date. Via the tracker, saw its only valid for 6months. |

Oladim001:Well, the 2 visas I processed and got feedback last month and this month for myself and sibling respectively, we both got till end of passport expiry. Not a joint application, we applied independently of each other for tourism. We both have our separate families and both based locally in Naija. |

Hello all. Please I’m just starting my application and while trying to create account on the IRCC new portal, upon inputting the verification code, the continue button is not responding. It is not going past the verification page, tried using several browsers same thing. Please has anyone also experienced this? Any solution please? |

Hello house, please I need your advice. I came to Canada as an international student in December 2023. My study permit was approved with my 10-month-old baby, but I travelled alone because I wasn’t sure how to balance school and settling in with her. I planned that once I was stable, my husband would apply for a spousal open work permit (SOWP) and come with our daughter. We tried three times, but all were refused: • 1st application: April 2024 → Refused. • 2nd application: January 2025 → Refused. • 3rd application: around May 2025 → Refused. Reasons: • First refusal: not enough proof of funds 😳 (we actually had more than what was required). • Second refusal: they said I didn’t show sufficient proof of funds as a student 😳😳 (which isn’t even a known requirement). • By the third application, we had more than double the required amount for one person’s travel and explained it properly, but it was still denied. Now I have graduated, and my convocation is in December. By then it will be two years since I moved. I currently hold implied status while waiting for my PGWP decision. This time, we are applying for a VISITOR VISA so that my husband and daughter can attend my convocation, spend about a month with me, and then return home. We are also hoping for a multiple-entry visa, so that my husband won’t need to reapply if he wants to visit again. The purpose is not to remain in Canada permanently, only to attend my graduation and spend family time. FOR CONTEXT, we plan to reply by the 3rd week of September. Currently, we have about 22M fixed in the bank, around 5 million in my husband’s transactional account, and I will be showing about 8–9k on my side. Please, what can we do differently this time to make the application stronger? Any advice from those with recent approvals will really help. Thank you. |

Jnonso:Wait for the PGWP decision and visit Nigeria instead.... Refusal too many, don't add to it. You can also visit your husband too. |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by House34: 10:19am On Sep 02, 2025 |
Jnonso:If your family reapplies for a visitor visa now, they will most likely face another refusal again and again. A better strategy is to first secure your PGWP and then obtain a skilled job under TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3. Once you are employed in such a role, your family can apply for a SOWP tied to your valid PGWP. This is important because SOWP applications made while you are a student are treated differently than when you are a graduate working on a PGWP which has greater chance when u working as pgwp holder To make their application stronger, you should provide proof of your employment, such as: An official employment letter confirming your position, salary, start date, and full-time status. At least three recent pay stubs. A copy of your job offer or contract I wish you good luck |
