Minimum wage that can't buy a bag of rice is an insult while the politicians earn in millions this is criminality at it peak we must dismantle it after all they don't have two heads.
Re: Minimum Wage In Nigeria By States As Of 2025 by Steinmann: 5:01pm On Sep 03, 2025
Soludo pays lip sevice to minimum wage by only paying to level one.
Other levels in the state civil service are drastically scaled down.
A level 16 in federal service earns about double what a level 16 earns in anambra state.
Yet the APGA, tpoliticians had the effontry to be giving voters #10,000 during the last election with the peoples money.
ANAMBRA pays civil servants one of the smallest salarie in Nigeria.

In that case, the State Governments should be held accountable for failing to meet the aspirations of the people of their individual states.

Government is collective (federal, state and local).

For far too long, attention has been focused solely on the FG.

As the FG is doing its bit in trying to uplift the welfare of the generality of Nigerians, state governments must be co-partners in this task.

@hotseat
So you are indirectly telling me that Tinubu was not smart enough to be sure if his policy will affectthe people he is governing positively or not before taking on the policy?

Analysis of this nature shouldn't be done in isolation of other economic indices.
What about Staff strength, IGR, funds from FAAC, Taxes etc
All these should be considered too.

Next time, don't say what you dont know.

Back in the days of true regionalism and federalism, state workers enjoyed higher pay.
That how it's supposed to be.
States became weakened after Aguyi ironsi rubbish.
Tinubu is returning us to those days
That time it was region and not states, there were no state governors, so please get yourself informed, I said states and federal...

Back up what you just said with data. But remember, Imo is the most educated state in Nigeria.

anonimi:
How many civil servants are on the payroll of Imo state, compared with other states?

What level of service are they providing in water supply, for example? Is it any better or worse than the situation of Lagos State?
Re: Minimum Wage In Nigeria By States As Of 2025 by Toymax88: 5:11pm On Sep 03, 2025
In KWARA STATE, the difference between level 03 and 08 is 4k. 71k for level 03 and 75k for level 08

Re: Minimum Wage In Nigeria By States As Of 2025 by ogascomax: 5:20pm On Sep 03, 2025

Tinubu must be crucified at all costs?

A drastic situation requires a drastic action if things must change.

This is what Tinubu has done!

You don't repeat a mistake while deluding yourself that that mistake would correct itself by itself.

Things don't work that way!

No pain, no gain!

So only the man on the street should feel the pain right? are they the cause of the problem, why should Tinubu cause only them to feel the pain?

Is Tinubu feeling the pain, are the governors feeling the pain? what has improved in Nigeria for the common man since the policy started?

Not accurate. Didn't reflect the increment by Ebonyi and Imo state governors.

Outdated data
really. What Nairametrics post is the real statistics here. How much is ebonyi and imo State governor presently. The increments of the salaries announced by governors ebonyi and imo State governor's haven't materialize yet.

Meaning Tinubu has failed to lead the governors by good example, this is the first time in the history of Nigeria that states will be paying more than the federal government, and you people wonder why the country is the way it is and start blaming governors, by standard many governors have done better than Tinubu as president.
I pray NLC fight for the increase of minimum wage in next year 2026
