"pigeonholed" indeed fgs...This brother is so funny. Like he and his team vetted, and accepted roles and the massive paychecks that came with them, that actually made him one of the highest paid actors, to ever touch this industry, did he think filmmakers doling that much cash didn't know what they were doing?. They quite knew bro, had the acting range of a snail, but they knew the had a certain "aura" that was a massive BO draw, till unfortunately it wasn't, so coupled with other self destructing factors, the industry quietly eased him back into a premature oblivion...Nobody "pigeonholed" you, Big man...They quite knew, yous was only good as a "brawler" and were happy to give you that role over and over again, and any other role that required any sort of technical acting was reserved for actors with actual talent...I mean this MF, might actually be the least talented, of all the actors that pivoted from the WWE.

Now i seem to be engaging more of "The Critical Drinker's" post these days , and he did a fantastic piece on him last week or so, that succinctly encapsulates the whole thing.

"The Smashing Machine" (2025) is actually one of my most anticipated movies, the trailer looks decent, and easily looks like a script that a good actor can flex plus Benny Safdie is such an underrated indie gem filmmaker, that knows how to bring the best in actors, I mean look at what Robert Pattison did in "Good Time" (2017) and Adams Sandler in "Uncut Gems" (2019)...norm bending all timer performances from both actors in both so if DJ can't smash this, then he might be actually cooked in this industry 😩😩

Saw it some time back. Low average at best. Kevin trying to be serious wasn't just his thing.

WB & Margot Robbie has done it again!!

Ahh ahh, see trailer na!! See cinematography and colours! This is probably the best looking trailer I've seen this year alongside Guillermo Del Toro's FRANKENSTEIN. That music score from Charlie XCX just gave me goosebumps. See as I dey smile dey shine teeth as I dey watch trailer. 😊😅

Really looking forward to this next year. Jacob Elordi, I just love ma boy going places up to the top. Bravo. 👏🏽 Emerald Fennell don cook again.

Kiss and Kill : Best action movie
Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by oyaskii(m): 2:16pm On Sep 04, 2025
I’ve been following the Venice Film Festival all week, and it seems as though RT is hell-bent on giving every screening a 100% score. But two films with perfect ratings have especially caught my eye both of which I’ve been anticipating for a while.

It is often said that little is known about the personal life of perhaps the greatest playwright the world has ever known. William Shakespeare suffered a loss so heartbreaking, so devastating, that it inspired him to write the greatest play in literary history: Hamlet

X

And then remember Oldboy? Remember Decision to Leave? Well, Park Chan-wook is back with another black comedy. This time, a proper career man suddenly finds himself out of a job and, in order to keep up the façade of a good life, there’s no telling what he’ll do. The film has already been selected as South Korea’s entry for the next Oscars’ Best International Feature category, ahead of its wider public premiere.

I honestly cannot wait to see these two films. And even though their premiere dates are still months away, like my Niger Delta sister Ayo Edebiri would say...."I am so, so deeply seated! 😩
