Bolt drivers should ensure to pick and drop their passengers only inside the market NOT at the exit not entrance.

And if you are caught, the fine is 25k,
To make it easier for the driver, go to the touts office just after the Wuse market bridge and register to pick and drop.

And if u want to hustle along passengers even on weekends, make sure u always buy the "National" ticket, but the days of the week requires you to get 3 tickets for ₦200 each - ₦600.

I injured one with a screw driver in my car last month, I stopped to ask him for direction and next thing he was dragging my car key with me.
I immediately removed a screwdriver in my Glovebox and stabbed him on his hand

They are mostly on hard drugs and most of them are mentally challenged.

He was in the car with his wife and kid(s) how much was the money they were demanding for that he had to gamble with his family?

I remember one time I dropped a friend off at Anthony under bridge, he wanted to climb the hill to access the express so I moved in to drop him off. As he came down and left, one rugged tout started running towards me, I wanted to zoom off then I noticed he carried a very big stone, I just stopped and gave him N500 yes you heard me right. Five hundred naira which he collected and walked away. Imagine if I had stubbornly tried to zoom off and he had shattered my windshield, it would have cost me up to 200k to replace it. But I applied wisdom and paid just 500 and left peacefully.

We should learn how to apply wisdom. Everything shouldn't be about aggression cos these touts have nothing to lose. I've seen them pull down a conductor from a moving bus. They're ready to fight and die. So dragging with them isn't a wise option.

May their souls rest in peace.

I remember a friend told me his experience with them when he stopped to give a ride to some one who frantically flagged him down, just down the road from where this horrible incident happened.
He didn't drag with them and was forced to pay them 28k on the false accusation that he was doing kabu kabu. Very painful.
Me too, years ago after dragging and stupidly endangering my life, I still paid!
Nigeria can be terrible like a jungle in many sad ways. That's why we pray a lot to only see with our eyes and hear with our hears.
I did pass under the mabushi bridge this afternoon when that happened but didn't understand what was going on.

Have you fallen victim to these particular set of guys before? Ask anyone that drives IN ABUJA for first hand experience because this is not the regular ₦500 matter. They will make you cry and you might end up paying up to ₦50K if you are so unlucky because these ones are not there to collect ₦500, their sole mission is to drag you to their CHAIRMAN OFFICE and make you pay for TAXI REGISTRATION when you are not a cabbie so that they can get settled by their oga.

are they on uniform or identifiable? No. They just act like hyenas and jump in from your window to attack. While one is trying to grab your keys, the other are trying to steal your phones and open your door from the other side in a flash. If you drive a car, you will understand that the shock and impulse that will kick in and you will not blame that man.
