Alot of people saying that are people that actually do not have the money, do not have the means to generate the money and are still laid back. Everybody that japa'd especially with family spent up to 20m, if not more than and they'renot regretting it. It is the ones that doesnt have the money that always complain. For the OP, #20m is not enough to travel to canada or uk legally anymore.

A graduate will work for 100-200k, a professor will work for 500k, yet electricians, mechanics, plumbers can make 20-100k a day (400k to 1m+ a month) and they are never short of work.

Tell an educated Nigerian he can go into business and compound his capital. He wants you to tell him how and guide him in how to make the money.

There really is something wrong with the products of our education system when a PhD holder (an expert in a particular field) with N20m (capital) and a diploma in business ( basic knowledge of business) cannot think of a business to do in Nigeria or how to commercialize her expertise in Nigeria.

While i agree with some of your points bro, we need to also agree that most people can't/won't be able to do business because it requires -
1. Skills which many don't have
2. In some cases natural business talent which most don't have too.
Under normal condition and a good environment, people are meant to excel with their natural talent and skills like football, swimming, wrestling e.t.c if the environment is rich enough and ready enough.
Even knowing how to play football is not enough to guarantee you to survive and earn a career with it. There are so many footballers who never made it to the professional level.
Under normal condition, so many people in nigeria have no business trading or running a biz nor should we have a high number of pastors etc.
The business terrain in africa is another story entirely.
Only a fraction of people will excel in business under a favorable condition. Some will excel more as doctors, nurses, wrestlers, musicians, footballers etc

She can go for masters research program and travel with dependent that will be working and paying the remaining school fees. Or just apply for jobs from Nigeria, get a job and travel. Can She Relocate To Canada Or UK With 20 million Naira?

The above was a simple question which requires a yes or no answer, but u guys turned it into a bashing thread. Why another person japa they pain some of una?

She should go via the Education route. She already has a PhD in Chem Eng. She should either go for a Post Doc or do another PhD. She'll get a tuition waiver as well as a 'stipend' for the entire period of the program. Before her program is over, she would have qualified for a PR or something similar and locked down her position.

She's good to go. Canada is a good option.

People wey no get shishi, na dem dey yan kwata. 20m is like 5m? You need to see how I am laughing at you. Get am if easy. Poor mentality.

Fair analysis. Everyone cannot be an entrepreneur. Even if one has the idea and commences it, e get where e go reach, the person cannot run it effectively anymore. At that point, a seasoned manager should be employed to run the business.

The solution for those who can't run businesses but have the finances is to collaborate with like minds who have the business acumen and managerial skills. But would Nigerians be honest enough to collaborate amongst themselves?

The UK has a laggard biotech/pharmaceutical industry considering the number of applicants. The salaries are also terribly low even by European standards. Worst still, your sister is indebted. So when will she pay off the debt, and save something for herself?

This is true. There was an article about it in the New York Times including a book about millionaires in the US. Most don't have advanced education, but have technical know to run mid-size businesses which made them millionaires.

The tech and finance industries have distorted most people about the full picture of millionaires.
