The Senator representing Delta North, in Delta State, Senator Chinedu 'Ned' Nwoko, has revealed why he and other Igbo people of Delta State had to deny being Igbos. He said:

"During the genocide against IGBO Nation, l was 9years old. I was in my village during the genocidal war. The federal troops started k!lling my community people. My parents started telling me to say i am not IGBO and to make sure I deny being Igbo wherever I go if I must stay alive.
That was how we started to deny our IGBO identity"--

No Ẹdo people wanted Biafra.

You won't remember but Ejoor refused Federal government access through Mid Western region which was why Nigerian Army had to approach Biafra initially through Benue axis.

The Mid West fought hard for their neutrality until Biafran Army turned up.

Also, all the arms that the Nigerian army had in Midwest had disappeared, feel free to guess the tribe of the people that took it to Biafran Army when war was declared. Yup, the Anioma officers.
