he missed a crucial match in the ucl last season too. I think that was the semi against inter.🥲
All the best to balde.
Don't be afraid my brother in Christ. You'll need lord Martin Vs Newcastle. His height will help and he's not afraid of the aerial game like Dejong. He's very good and enjoys the aerial game so well. He's a different player from the one Vs inter..

Sad to say this but at St James park, it's advantage Barca grin grin grin

This Balde guy na injury prone player. Barca should look for alternative LB in January.
OUT for three weeks, he will miss our UCL opener against Newcastle.
Are we not having another Dembele on our hands so?

You guys don't know the quality of the player on your hands. Bench Yamal for him.

I'll say it now

Take 50 million
Go to Germany
Go to Dortmund
Drop it on their table

Take serhou guirassy and run

This is the most realistic replacement we can get for lewy next season

Dejong genuinely makes me laugh as a midfielder. There was an opening for Gakpo twice in the first half yet he'll twist, turn only to pass to Gravenberch. grin grin

Fdj na average player. He's so overrated. Curbasi will have more passing accuracy & assist than him. I hate those useless turns from him.

Meanwhile, they're saying FIFA don update their offside rule.

[🚨] 𝗡𝗘𝗪: FIFA have approved a NEW offside rule!

⚠️ From now on, an attacker will only be offside if their entire body is ahead of the defender.

🔺Example: In the picture below, this player would be considered onside under the new rule. —[DS Sports]

That guy makes me laugh. He complicates the simplest of passes. Twist, turn, suffer to the left, suffer to the right while standing still only to make a 5 yard pass to the closest person. Did that to Grevenbeg yesterday.

Netherlands would've been a goal or two up if he released Gakpo earlier yesterday on two occasions. His best position is a CM in a possession heavy team. As a DM, any UCL caliber team will knock Barca out without issues. As long as he's the starting DM, barca will never win the UCL.

The offside thing go carry Una go wey Una no no. Flick go cry blood grin grin

Now that he don born, let him stop being careful, no one is going to break his leg

The worst part is he's very good at progressive runs when he tries😔

grin grin

This guy is playing as a DM for the sake of goodness lol. He's the deepest midfielder and should focus on protecting the back 4.

When your DM is the one running up the field with the ball then you're in trouble as there's a gap he has left behind which could lead to dangerous counter attacks. In addition to all these, like I always say. Progressive runs/carries doesn't move me especially as a DLP. The ball travels faster when you pass it forward not when you run with it.

Watch Busquet, Alonso, Carrick, Kroos, Senna, etc. and recently, Zubimendi, Rodri, Casado and baby Bernal etc. As a DLP, you give, rest and maintain your position unless there's an OBVIOUS gap to run into.

Also put into consideration
Tht we play double pivot
So Pedro is still there to recover as he's shown

We've seen those runs from pedri and sometimes from de jong

Besides you're talking of covering the back 4 like we no know who de jong be for defense 😂

grin grin Like Flick, Derumklala will soon learn hard lessons just like those before them. Every shot was un-savable with Stegen. Now Garcia has proven that a good GK can actually make a difference.

You've played 3 games already with Dejong as DM and you've given up gazillion big chances to the opposition. The stats are there. Go and check how many big chances you gave away with Casado as DM after the same amount of games(3) last season. This season, every attack on Barca leads to the GK having to make a save why? There's no protection in front of the back 4. You think say na coincidence abi? Wait till you're 5 or more points behind Madrid.😂

Flick system is pure gung-ho style. Without a sitting abi dedicated DM, na knife through butter. Na Una GK I pity sha lol.

Hard lessons awaits those who think Dejong is a defensive midfielder. 😜 😜 😜

So FIFA get mind change offside rule midseason

Tye match against Valencia go confirm if hansi flick is adaptable
Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Derumklala12(m): 6:50pm On Sep 06, 2025
This Valencia match should give us a halfbaked window on how our season will go

If flick still uses that high line with the offside trap

Wrap it up brother, we're getting bodied ..
But if something's changed then we might enjoy this season

But yamal balde and fdj Don start their own wahala

I think at this point, Barca should count their loss and abandon the idea of playing at the Camp Nou at least until the new year.
We don’t have the City Council permission to play there yet and we’re now going to play at the tiny Johan Cryuff stadium against Valencia? Why not just kuku go back to Montjuïc?

I passed through Camp Nou on Friday and it was no where nearly done, at least from what I could see from the outsides. I don’t know why it’s taking that company donkey years to refurbish a stadium. So if they wanted to build a brand new stadium, it’ll take them eternity?😳😳

Yes, it's literally a new stadium.

If you work in construction you'll understand that things are not so straightforward. My colleague, a Barca fan who visited Barcelona took a tour round the stadium during the demolition process and yeah, they're literally building a completely new stadium.

I saw these images online and it's not different from what my colleague explained about the stadium. Be patient grin grin

We criticize Pedri's 10 role in Spain and claim that Pedri is being limited in the national team...

But we forget how much Pedri is limited in Barcelona...

We celebrate Pedri for making the most interceptions and all that...even the stats support it...

So many times we have praised Pedri for his goal saving interceptions...

But fail to ask why the more advanced midfielder is the one always making the interceptions, tracking back to make goal saving interceptions and blocks...

I look at Enzo and Caicedo at Chelsea and Enzo can go forward all he likes because Caicedo makes all the interceptions and defensive actions...

But here at Barca, Pedri is the one who does all that and thus, he does not have as much freedom going forward...

Pedri is still the same one who is charged with creating chances from the Midfield and dictating play...

This begs the question that I've been left wondering---

"What exactly does De Jong do in that midfield?"

I know things are not always that straight-forward esp with constructions but they already started knocking down the upper layer 3 years ago and started to work on the exterior almost immediately. And they only demolished the uppermost layer of the stadium. Currently the stadium have a sitting capacity of about 60k.

Yet, they have been very slow and I felt they were not tackling all the parts simultaneously. They could have done that and the exterior would have been ready by now. The stairs which spectators can use to enter the stadium are not even ready as of Friday last week. I have visited that stadium more than 20 times and I have never been impressed with the speed with which they were progressing. It is not as if it rains a lot in Barcelona. So what's the cause of the slow progress?

Obviously, I am not a construction engineer and I don't have any details on steps they're using to rebuild the stadium but they haven't met any deadline set to them by the club. Surely, 3 years is enough to get the stadium to a state where 50k spectators can safely enter into it. But they're not close to even guaranteeing this.

It takes about 3-5 years to build a 90k capacity stadium from scratch. Your stadium was completely demolished and everything is from scratch. It's like going to a new site to build something completely new. This is not a money issue but quality control. The engineers are 💯 very busy for sure. Oyibo engineers no dey do rush work. Them value quality.

50k capacity is a possibility but not really the goal. The idea is to have a stadium strong enough to house 90k people. There are obviously going to be test after test so the stadium don't collapse. 90k no be beans, as such no need to rush. If they rush now and house 30k or 50k people and it collapses, na another complains/issues.

3-5 years with test after test for quality control is cool. Barca are within that range. The issue here is the promises your president made about the return. Him for just say we're going back to Camp nou in 4-5years and everybody for don rest by now.

For me, a 90k stadium or any stadium shouldn't be rushed. Be patient cheesy. Na you go still enjoy am.

De Jong and Casado should be sold. I don't know why our management can't see that as a priority. They are a waste of space in our midfield and it feels we're always a man down when any of those two feature.

Sorry mate but you got this wrong. The stadium wasn't completely demolished and they're not building it from scratch. They only removed the top tier layer of the stadium, that would be mean removing like 30-40k seats. The remaining 50k-60k seats were not demolished. The foundation of the stadium not touched. The beams and columns were elected on the exterior to provide support for the roof and all the tiers. This is not a brand new stadium built from scratch.

My colleague who visited the city of Barcelona during the demolition exercise said they used cranes to bring the stadium down. May be not complete demolition but it was almost a complete take down.

This is the initial phase. I'm obviously not in Spain(Barcelona) so I can't tell. My opinion is just based on what I was told and some online images. If something like this was done, there's no way you complete the renovations within 2-3 years. No way brother. 3-5 years is optimum.

I also heard they're increasing the capacity from 90k to 105k. That's alot and this construction gonna take some time. For me, best thing is to return to Montjiuc abi Olympic stadium, yes revenues will be lost but you can just take your time, focus and get the stadium done and dusted instead of doing rushed work.
